The Young and the Restless (Y&R) Spoilers Tuesday, January 9: Sharon’s Explosive Party – Scott’s Plan Fails – J.T. and Cane Clash“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Tuesday, January 9, tease that Victoria (Amelia Heinle) will have a chat with Devon (Bryton James). At the athletic club, they discuss Brash and Sassy’s expansion in Europe as well as Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) confrontation with Sharon (Sharon Case). Victoria’s pleased that it didn’t turn into a media spectacle. Devon suggests they have Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) new outlook to thank.

Later, Devon gets a visit from Scott (Daniel Hall). He learns that Scott wants him to buy Hashtag, so he agrees to mull it over. When Devon updates Victoria on Scott’s proposal, she insists the sale isn’t happening. Meanwhile, Sharon tries to put Scott behind her. She wants to throw a party and show everyone that she’s moving on from her ex.

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) seem a bit concerned about the plan, but they get on board. After getting a call from Sharon, Hilary invites Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) to attend with her. They head over to kick off this awkward gathering.

At Sharon’s place, Tessa’s (Cait Fairbanks) arrival leaves Mariah agitated. Sharon tries to calm things, but she’s soon taken aback by Phyllis’ appearance. Hilary pushes Phyllis and Sharon to put the past behind them, but that turns out to be a pretty difficult task. Likewise, Chelsea and Hilary butt heads over all their drama.

Abby eventually shows up to deliver an apology to Sharon. When Sharon refuses to speak privately, Abby shares her feelings in front of everyone. She insists she’s sorry for cheating with Scott. Sharon contemplates Abby’s speech for a moment and agrees to forgive her. However, she reveals that Abby certainly shouldn’t expect future party invitations.

At the Chancellor mansion, J.T. (Thad Luckinbell) and Cane (Daniel Goddard) offer reassurance to Mattie (Lexie Stevenson). She’s upset since Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) still refuses to speak to her. J.T. decides he might be able to help. He sets up a meeting between Reed and Mattie, but no progress is made.

J.T. also clashes with Cane in Tuesday’s Y&R episode. He has a big problem with Cane’s constant disapproval of Reed. J.T. contends that his son makes normal teenage mistakes. He feels like Cane wants to pretend Reed’s some deranged killer.

The discussion shifts to their relationships and Cane finds out Mac (Clementine Ford) filed for divorce. In response, Cane brings up his own fears about Lily (Christel Khalil) heading to Paris. J.T. feels like Cane’s just being insecure and ridiculous.

Lily meets up with Abby, who urges her to make Cane wait on their official reunion. She feels like it would serve him right. Lily worries it’s her last shot at saving her marriage, so she remains uncertain about the trip. She stops by the mansion later, but Cane’s busy looking for her at Newman Enterprises. When Lily’s not there, Cane’s disheartened. He guesses Lily already made her choice.

At Crimson Lights, Michael (Christian LeBlanc) fills Victoria and J.T. in on Reed’s potential consequences. Once he’s gone, J.T. bickers with his ex. Victoria thinks J.T. acts more like Reed’s friend than a parent. J.T. believes Victoria assumes the worst of Reed. He argues that Reed won’t rise above her expectations if she’s not careful.
