Paul explains some DNA details and recaps the events surrounding Adam’s death. Once he’s gone, Sharon and Phyllis decide they need to get into the police database. In the meantime, Mariah chats with Kevin (Greg Rikaart) briefly before he’s cornered by Phyllis. She wants his help with the hacking, but he’s not interested. Nevertheless, Kevin ends up bringing the passwords to Phyllis later.
Sharon notes that she can use a police computer since she’s part of the crisis hotline. At the station, the computer in the crisis center doesn’t work, so Sharon tries one elsewhere. Paul catches her, but she manages to come up with an excuse.
Afterward, Sharon returns to Phyllis with info on Adam’s DNA. Since Phyllis used to work in a DNA lab, she examines it and insists that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) was right. Adam really was Christian’s biological father. Sharon and Phyllis mull over the shocking confirmation.
At the office, J.T. (Thad Luckinbell) convinces Victoria (Amelia Heinle) to take time out of her hectic schedule. She agrees to meet him for lunch. Once Victoria hears about the confession tape Hilary (Mishael Morgan) recorded, she apologizes to Cane (Daniel Goddard) at Top of the Tower. Victoria sided with Juliet (Laur Allen) at the time, but Cane says he made plenty of mistakes, too.
Cane quickly turns his attention back to Lily (Christel Khalil). They enjoy a nice meal together and make time for more romance. Meanwhile, Victoria spots Hilary and starts ranting about her awful behavior. She thinks the new-and-improved Hilary act is all for show.
Over with J.T. and Paul, they discuss an undercover operation. A flashback explains that J.T. signed on after covering up Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) crime. Paul’s concerned about J.T. joining the dark side, but J.T. insists he can handle this. As long as Victoria’s given immunity like Paul promised, J.T. intends to stay on board.
When J.T. meets back up with Victoria, she’s agitated about the missed lunch date. J.T. determines that Victoria’s minions have been searching for him. He talks about the lack of trust between them, so Victoria offers an apology. She doesn’t want to think the worst of J.T. anymore.
