Later, Billy takes Phyllis aside and questions if she can handle all this. Phyllis notes that being back at the house evokes some difficult memories, but she’s cool with it. Billy points out that Phyllis can change her mind if things get too tough. Dina (Marla Adams) presents another problem since she’s not keen on having “Philly” there. However, they manage to settle her down eventually.
Dina’s deterioration rattles Billy and Phyllis, so they share their concerns with Jack (Peter Bergman). He talks to Ashley about their mother soon after. Jack feels like each day that passes brings them closer to losing Dina. Despite Ash’s warning that he may not find answers, Jack wants to focus on his father search. Dina’s decline makes Jack even more committed to learning the truth about his dad.
Elsewhere, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) summons Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) for a meeting. She wants to discuss the “Shick” wedding and all the bridesmaid duties. Unfortunately, Victoria’s distracted and stressed out. She ultimately takes off, so Nikki goes to check on her.
Once they’re alone, Mariah mentions that Abby’s an odd bridesmaid choice. Abby suggests that she’s doing this for Nick (Joshua Morrow), not Sharon (Sharon Case). She brings up Victoria’s apparent issues, but Mariah contends that it’s best to let Nikki take the lead.
Afterward, Mariah runs into Kyle (Michael Mealor). He brings her up to speed on P.I.’s search for Tessa (Cait Fairbanks), which recently kicked off. Mariah admits that she’s uncertain of Tessa’s intentions. She worries maybe Tessa doesn’t want to be found, but Kyle nixes the idea. He pushes Mariah to trust that Tessa will come home.
Over with Victoria, she tries to get rid of Nikki. Of course, Nikki isn’t willing to let Victoria wallow in fear alone. She keeps at it, so Victoria makes a confession about not attending more therapy sessions. Nikki doesn’t think all this stress is good for her daughter, so she promises to help Victoria regain control.
Back with Ashley, she discusses the Billy drama with Kyle. They’re eager to see Billy’s downfall, so Kyle has a plan to make it happen faster. He suggests that if Billy got caught taking additional company cash, it could work to their advantage. That would prove Billy has a risky pattern, so Kyle insists they should set it up.
