The Young and the Restless Spoilers Thursday, September 27: Phyllis’ Fire Alarm Fiasco – Mariah’s Alarming Discovery – Billy’s Big Bomb

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Thursday, September 27, tease that Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) admissions will be thwarted. At The Dive Bar, the fire alarm goes off and sends guests toward the exit. Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) appears to calm the panic and announce that there’s no real threat.

The fire alarm was pulled by Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), which she confesses during a confrontation with Nick. She argues that she had to stop him from blabbing. Phyllis doesn’t think Nick should blow up his relationship or her own. She suggests that if he won’t back down for either of them, he should do it for his kids. Nick eventually relents and agrees to leave their hookup mistake in the past.

In the elevator, Sharon gets a lecture from Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). They do their best to convince her that coming clean is a terrible idea. Nikki and Victoria want Sharon to put J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) behind her. Sharon’s still struggling over the lie, but they hope they talked her down.

Sharon ends up bailing on the party and heading to Crimson Lights. When Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) arrives, he hears about her bachelorette bash drama. The conversation shifts to the house Nick purchased, so Sharon opens up about her issues with it. When asked, Rey talks about his rocky marriage and all the baggage they’re dealing with.

Since Rey’s current living arrangements aren’t ideal, Sharon notes that there’s an apartment above the coffeehouse. She suggests that Rey should move in it. Once Nick tracks Sharon down, Rey takes off. That leaves “Shick” to slow dance and revisit their earlier conversation. Instead of confessing, they claim they just wanted to say they’re going to get it right this time. They’re both committed to their future.

Back at The Dive Bar, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) overhears Summer (Hunter King) talking to Kyle (Michael Mealor). She’s appalled when Summer suggests Nick hooked up with Phyllis. Mariah believes Summer’s trying to start a rumor, so she considers spilling the news to Sharon. Kyle argues against it, which tips Mariah off to the truth. She’s horrified to learn that Nick betrayed Sharon with his ex.

Kyle contends that it was just the once, so telling Sharon would bring unnecessary heartache. Mariah’s still hesitant to keep this from her mom. She explains her dilemma to Tessa, who points out that it’s possible to overcome mistakes.

Mariah admits that it does sound like a momentary lapse in judgment. She thinks Sharon should probably be the one to decide that, but doesn’t know if she should ruin the wedding. Meanwhile, Phyllis catches up with Billy (Jason Thompson) and faces quite a bombshell. Billy confesses that his gambling troubles are worse than he let on. He states that he borrowed $500,000 from Jabot, so that money’s down the drain.
