The Young and the Restless Spoilers Thursday, September 20: Victor Confronts Matt and Jack – Sharon Takes a Huge Risk – Devon’s Surprise

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Thursday, September 20, tease that Sharon (Sharon Case) will get a job offer. At Crimson Lights, Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) urges Sharon to accept a victim liaison position with the GCPD. Sharon nixes the idea, but Rey keeps at it. Sharon eventually suggests she’ll mull it over and see what Nick (Joshua Morrow) thinks.

Meanwhile, Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) brings Shauna (Camryn Hamm) a birthday gift. Nate (Brooks Darnell) spots them talking outside the penthouse and notices the wrapping paper. He wishes Shauna a happy birthday before sharing the news with Devon (Bryton James), who decides to take action. Devon throws together a fun celebration for Shauna, which she definitely appreciates.

After the party, Shauna tells Devon that she’s 18 now. She hints that she could move out, but Devon encourages her to stay since they’ve become like family. He also gives Shauna a college scholarship in Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) name. A grateful Shauna hopes she can live up to Hilary and Devon’s pride in her.

At the athletic club, Jack (Peter Bergman) tries to steal Victor’s (Eric Braeden) napkin for a DNA test. He gets caught by Devon and switches strategies. Once Matt Miller (Richard Gleason) gets a call, he shows up to meet with Jack. They discuss the possibility that Jack’s father may also be Albert Miller (George Kennedy). Matt’s hesitant to get involved since Victor’s bound to be irked.

Sure enough, Victor walks over and starts ranting. He views this meeting as an act of betrayal on Matt’s part. Jack pipes up that he may be Victor’s brother, too. They argue until Victor stomps off and Jack can continue his pitch. He insists that Matt may be his only hope of learning the truth.

Over with Victoria (Amelia Heinle), she gets some self-defense lessons from Nate. He feels like her stress levels will improve if she doesn’t feel so powerless. Victoria seems to relax a bit as she grows closer to Nate. Afterward, she’s summoned to Crimson Lights by a torn Sharon.

Victoria gets updates on Sharon’s job offer and suggests she should take it. This could help Sharon watch out for Rey, especially since she’ll be able to view confidential files. Sharon reconvenes with Rey later and announces that she’s accepting the position. They shake on it as Rey gives Sharon a warm welcome to the team.
