The Young and the Restless Spoilers Thursday, July 5: Hilary Learns Nate’s Painful Secret – Billy’s Losing Bet – Jack’s Plan Goes Awry

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Thursday, July 5, tease that Ashley (Eileen Davidson) will meet up with Neil (Kristoff St. John). At the penthouse, they look at a new article online. It’s all about J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbill) vanishing act, so Victor (Eric Braeden) is naturally dragged into it. They determine that whether Victor was actually involved or not, they have to handle this.

Neil feels like they can still control the chaos. He reaches out to Victor (Eric Braeden) shortly before Nate (Brooks Darnell) comes downstairs. Ashley’s surprised to see him, especially since he’s only got a towel on! Once Nate throws some clothes on, he returns and chats with Ashley.

Later, Neil’s discussing the Newman mayhem with Nate when he suddenly remembers something. He planned a homecoming party with the fam and they’ll all be over soon. Cane (Daniel Goddard), Lily (Christel Khalil), Mattie (Lexi Stevenson) and Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) come over for the shindig. Hilary (Mishael Morgan), Devon (Bryton James) and Shauna (Camryn Hamm) show up as well.

It doesn’t take long for Hilary and Nate to start bickering. Hilary feels like Nate’s keeping secrets, so she pushes him to come clean. Neil finally intervenes and tells Hilary that Nate’s true love died a year ago today. She’s miffed that they let her carry on like this, so she decides to take off. A concerned Devon races after Hilary, so let’s hope they can tackle the drama.

At the Abbott mansion, Jack (Peter Bergman) does some court prep with Dina (Marla Adams). Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) there to see how things go. Dina remembers her affair with Phillip Chancellor (Donnelly Rhodes) and describes her she felt back then. She’s lucid and calm, so that’s a nice start.

Jack’s pleased with the result of this mock trial, but Dina has a tough episode once they wrap it up. She starts by donning a big hat and sunglasses in the house. Dina doesn’t seem to know who she is, where she is or what’s going on. She doesn’t recognize Jack and calls Ashley by the wrong name.

Jack doesn’t want to put Dina through anything else, so he nixes her court appearance. He decides to drop the lawsuit, but Kyle (Michael Mealor) will try a new strategy by the end of the week. In the meantime, Summer (Hunter King) tries to figure out where Billy’s (Jason Thompson) going. He fibs to throw her off, but it doesn’t work. Summer knows he’s going to gamble, so she wants to tag along.

Billy ultimately relents, so Summer’s there to watch him take on an old rival. Sinead sits at the poker table with Billy and they both go all in. She puts her house in Catalina on the line, so Billy offers his new yacht. Alas, his wager doesn’t pan out. Sinead emerges victorious, so Billy’s going to have a real mess on his hands.
