The Young and the Restless Spoilers Thursday, January 4: Jack Stunned by Kidnapper Dina – Scott Asks Sharon To Marry – Nick and Chelsea Fight

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Thursday, January 4, tease that there’ll be total mayhem over Christian’s (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) disappearance. At the athletic club, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) faces an angry Nick (Joshua Morrow). He scolds her for losing his son, but Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) insists Christian was only a few steps away. It could’ve happened to anyone.

Paul (Doug Davidson) gets updates from Nick as a search begins. Meanwhile, Lauren finds Abby (Melissa Ordway) and lashes out at her for cheating with Scott (Daniel Hall). Abby corrects Lauren about the guilty party. Scott was the one in a committed relationship. When Scott walks over, he backs Abby up and tries to offer an explanation to Lauren. His excuses aren’t enough for her.

Scott meets back up with Sharon and pulls out an engagement ring. He notes that he was planning on proposing before everything blew up. Scott hopes Sharon will forgive him and become his wife. She responds by taking the ring and tossing it in the dirt outside. Sharon stomps it down and suggests that it’s not happening. When Abby appears, Sharon says Scott’s all hers now.

At the Abbott mansion, Michael (Christian LeBlanc) offers Jack (Peter Bergman) a warning about Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) new lawyer. The guy’s a real hotshot and will play dirty if he has to. Ash intends on fighting Jack, but plans change thanks to Dina’s (Marla Adams) secret move. Jack and Ashley discover that Dina took Christian. In her fuzzy mental state, Dina thought the tot was “Jackie.”

Back with Nick and Chelsea, they spar over the situation. Chelsea insists she had a lot going on when Nick asked her to take the boys. Nick thinks Chelsea’s pointing the finger at him. He rejects Chelsea’s idea of getting Victor (Eric Braeden) involved. They eventually settle down as they await answers from the cops.

Jack calls Nick to clear things up before settling his feud with Ashley. They both understand that Dina needs more than just her family’s assistance. Once Chelsea and Nick hear the good news, they’re overjoyed. Nick remembers what it was like to lose Cassie (Camryn Grimes). He can’t imagine the pain he’d feel if he also lost Christian.

Chelsea looks distraught over Nick’s fears. Y&R seems to be offering a hint about what’s to come. Nick isn’t Christian’s biological father, so he could lose the daddy title sooner or later.
