The Young and the Restless Spoilers Thursday, August 2: Devon Blasts Lily, Cane Warns of Legal Trouble – Billy Keeps Phyllis in the Dark“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Thursday, August 2, tease that Shauna’s (Camryn Hamm) revelation will stir up trouble. At the penthouse, Lily (Christel Khalil) can’t recall running a red light that day. Shauna insists that it happened and Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) confirms it.

Of course, Devon (Bryton James) wonders why it took the teens to long to come clean. Cane (Daniel Goddard) takes responsibility for that and gets an earful. Lily isn’t pleased that she was kept out of the loop. Devon reels over this extra blow and quickly begins to rant. It’s clear that he’s absolutely devastated by all this.

After everyone else steps out, Devon blasts Lily privately. He feels like Lily got her wish by killing Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and her baby. Devon suggests that Lily did it on purpose, but she promises that’s not true. Lily wishes she could change this tragedy and begs Devon not to hold this against her.

An angry Devon pushes Lily to go be with her family. He takes a dig by pointing out that thanks to Lily, he doesn’t have one. Over with Cane (Daniel Goddard), he’s forced to explain his actions. Cane gets why Neil’s (Kristoff St. John) upset about the lies, but he had to protect his wife. He warns that this could bring charges for Lily, so this family’s definitely stuck in turmoil.

Phyllis is outraged by Cane and Lily’s behavior, so she gripes to Jack (Peter Bergman). He cheers her up a bit before talk turns to Billy (Jason Thompson). Phyllis worries that Billy went off to gamble, but Jack suggests looking for him at Jabot. Fortunately, Phyllis indeed finds Billy there later. She wants to step inside the office and chat alone, but Billy has a meeting going on.

Phyllis grills Billy about all the secrecy and wonders if he’s holding a poker game. Billy eases Phyllis’ mind by proving that business execs have arrived. However, he stays tight-lipped about the deal he’s working on. Billy calls for trust and heads off to make something big happen.

At the coffeehouse, Summer (Hunter King) once again turns down Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) offer to work at Dark Horse. She’s perfectly content at Fenmore’s, so they shift gears. Summer mentions how things seem to be going well for Nick and Sharon (Sharon Case). She adds that Phyllis and Billy are dealing with some issues right now. Summer obviously doesn’t think they’re a good match.
