The Young and the Restless Spoilers Thursday, April 5: Nick Rips Into Sharon – Victoria Confesses J.T.’s Abuse – Kyle Will Fight Billy

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Thursday, April 5, tease that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will make some complaints. At her apartment, she gripes to Billy (Jason Thompson) about Kyle (Michael Mealor). Phyllis isn’t happy about reporting to him, but Billy hints that he may make a move for the throne soon. He mentions Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) plan and Phyllis is down for it.

Jack Suspicious of Kyle

In the jail visiting room, Kyle promises Jack (Peter Bergman) that everything’s going to be fine at Jabot. He argues that they both want a successful company. Jack remains suspicious and points out that Kyle shouldn’t get used to being in the CEO spot. Phyllis arrives as Jack’s next visitor and offers reassurance about the Kyle drama. She insists that they’re going to get a grip on the situation.

J.T. Overhears Jack’s Rant

Later, J.T. stops by and listens to Jack rant about the perpetrator. Jack thinks the true culprit’s a coward for not coming forward. He complains about taking the fall for the person who actually did this. J.T. suggests that he’s glad Victor (Eric Braeden) survived and hopes Jack will get his name cleared.

Nick Rips Into Sharon

Meanwhile, Nick (Joshua Morrow) rips into Sharon (Sharon Case) for trying to support him. He eventually softens, but still doesn’t seem comfortable opening up about Victor. However, things are easier for Nick when he meets with Phyllis. She’s filling in for Jack on the New Hope project, but the conversation heads in a personal direction. Nick admits he’s concerned about Victor potentially dying.

Sharon Tries to Bond with Nick

Phyllis contends that Nick has a right to be fragile with everything that’s going on. He certainly doesn’t have to be a pillar of strength when his father’s near death. Over with Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Sharon, they discuss Nick. Sharon confesses that she’s been reconnecting with him and she’s not sorry that it’s happening. She still thinks they share a special bond.

Billy Wants To Step Up

Back with Billy, he informs Ashley and Abby (Melissa Ordway) that he’s willing to step up at Jabot. Ash vows to set up a board meeting and Billy gets things squared away with Cane (Daniel Goddard). Meanwhile, Abby finds Kyle and quizzes him about the secrecy regarding Victor. Kyle dismisses her concerns and eventually turns his attention to another matter.

Kyle Will Fight Billy

Billy and Ashley march in to declare their intentions. When Ash mentions putting Billy on the throne, Kyle insists that he’ll fight it. He’s convinced that he can prevent any move Ashley and Billy try to make.

Victoria Getting Tired of J.T.

Across town, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) sneaks off for a second counseling session. She goes alone this time and vents to Dr. Mosley (Rose Abdoo). Victoria confesses that she’s always trying to dance around J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbell) feelings and avoid his meltdowns. It’s exhausting to live this way.

Victoria Confesses J.T.’s Abuse

When Victor’s name comes up, Victoria determines that the doc sees some of the same qualities in Vic and J.T. She doesn’t agree with that assessment and explains that things are different with her fiancé. Victoria talks about how she had to put makeup on her bruises and notes that J.T. wasn’t this harsh in the past.

Victoria Imagines Life Without J.T.

Dr. Mosley questions how much Victoria will put up with if nothing changes. At the coffeehouse, Victoria imagines what it’d be like to end her relationship with J.T. and throw him out. Back at home, Victoria gets showered with apologies and excuses. J.T. assures Victoria that he loves and respects her, so they strip down for a sex session.
