Reason Behind Mishael Morgan’s Y&R Exit Revealed

For weeks now fans have been trying to figure out why actress Mishael Morgan has so abruptly decided to pull the plug on her daytime television career at The Young and the Restless. Well now, Mishael’s agent is spilling beans about her departure while also hinting that she may return to the show in the near future, too.

According to reports from TV Source, Mishael’s manager David Ritchie recently spoke up about his client’s decision to leave the highly-rated CBS soap, just after five years. He makes it no secret that Mischael’s decision to leave all boiled down to contraction negotiations – or a lack thereof.

Apparently, Mischael was none too pleased over the fact that she has been putting in hard work for the soap without any increase in pay.

He told the publication, “It all starts with finances essentially, and they were not prepared to give her a raise. So, it would mean that she worked for five years with no increase. It shocked me, to say the least…I was very disappointed that they didn’t even come back to the table.”

Thankfully though, Mischael’s fans have been sticking by her side and have supported, despite her difficult decision to leave.

He continued, “The outpouring from the fans has been phenomenal. Mishael has been overwhelmed with just how much they adore her and treat her. I am always willing to take a person’s phone call. I would say that we parted ways amicably. So yes, I would take any calls that were made.”
