The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nick Newman Takes A Walk On The Dark Side

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) just had enough of his controlling father, Victor (Eric Braeden).

Spoilers for The Young and the Restless reveals the extent of what Nick is willing to do break free, even if it means going down the dark path. Well, he seems obvious that he’s going down under—he’s just sick of Victor and wants to make his own legacy as a Newman.

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that on Wednesday, July 18, Nick gathers his family members—Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Abby (Melissa Ordway), Summer (Hunter King) and Sharon (Sharon Case)—through a bizarre invitation from a company called Dark Horse. The aptly named company, his family members figured out, is Nick’s new venture.

Nick reveals, as Nikki rightly assumed, that this is about his father. He explains to his family that it is time to stop letting Victor make the rules for them. He goes on to details about how Victor has turned against them when they would not follow his bidding.

Victor may have given him Victoria’s position at Newman Enterprises, but that did not change a thing. And when he stood his ground, Victor wanted to get the custody of his son. He warns Abby that she will never be enough for their father either, and Summer will figure that out as well anytime soon.

Aside from impersonating J.T. (Thad Luckinbill), Nick reveals how he infiltrated Victor’s life and the company. Victoria asks why he is so bitter, and Nikki tells him she does not recognize him anymore. This is a drastic change.

They try to talk him out of it and let go of all this. However, Nick said that Dark Horse is his new beginning. In fact, he has already started making deals with all the companies that have cut ties with his father’s company. He is building a new name for Newman, and he wants his family to be on board.

Of course, The Young and the Restless fans could expect more drama to come out of this move. Victor is not someone who would give up. Spoilers tease that Victor is preparing to fight. Abby is also forced to choose a side.

The Young and the Restless airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
