The Young and the Restless Spoilers Monday, May 28: Memorial Day Bash Problem – Victor’s Dirty Trick – Mariah Confides in Kyle

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Monday, May 28, tease that Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) will have some doubts about Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) reunion. At home, Faith gets the scoop and suggests friendship might be best. They’ve tried getting back together before and it never works out. Nevertheless, Sharon and Nick persuade their daughter to give them another shot.

Across town, Kyle (Michael Mealor) gets an earful from his angry dad. Jack (Peter Bergman) feels like his son should’ve quit in solidarity, but Kyle disagrees. He doesn’t see why Jack just assumed he’d resign as well. At the ranch, Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) make plans. They cozy up to each other as they talk about attending the Memorial Day bash.

Unfortunately, the big shindig hits a snag. The caterers call in sick, so Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Devon (Bryton James) worry they might have to cancel. Thankfully, Hilary (Mishael Morgan) comes through for them and forms a new plan. Tessa (Cait Fairbanks), Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Devon are all forced to do some cooking. At Mariah’s insistence, Hilary does her part as well.

Lily (Christel Khalil) gets a burger flipped on her, so she’s miffed at Hilary as usual. However, they manage to keep their conflict to a minimum. Lily even tells Hilary not to hurt Devon this time. That’s about as close to giving her blessing as she’s going to get, so that’s sort of good news! It seems Lily’s accepting that a “Hevon” reunion is inevitable.

Jack corners Kyle again and fumes about Victor (Eric Braeden) influencing him. Victor himself appears and gets Jack even more riled. Neil decides to walk over and break things up. This is a party, so the guests would like to avoid major scenes if possible.

Nick also fills his loved ones in on his Newman Enterprises comeback. Victor’s thrilled about it, so he grabs a mic and promises free drinks in honor of his son’s return. Later, Victor works on a press release and tells Nick what’s ahead. He wants Nick to take the COO spot, so he fibs that Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) decided to do something different. Victor’s lies are bound to blow up soon enough!

At Hamilton-Winters, Shauna (Camryn Hamm) gets some compliments from Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) and they ultimately lean in for a kiss. Back at the bash, Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) shuts down Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) moves. She’s not comfortable dating somebody who’s a friend of Mariah’s.

When Kyle brings the excuse to Mariah’s attention, she confesses she had a crush on Tessa. Mariah insists it was only on her end, but Kyle’s not so sure. He hints that based on how Tessa looks at Mariah, maybe she’s got a crush of her own.
