At home, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) vows to be honest with J.T. from now on. She manages to make amends with him and talk turns to the decision Victoria’s facing. J.T. surprises Victoria by suggesting that she should stay at Newman. Soon after, they discuss the upcoming Walnut Grove reunion. J.T. got an invitation, but he has his reasons for skipping it.
At the ranch, J.T. arrives to pick up Reed (Tristan Lake). When he spots his son playing chess with Victor, he insists they should keep playing. While they’re distracted, J.T. pops in Victor’s home office. He spots a safe and takes a picture of it.
Victor catches J.T. in his private area and wonders what’s going on. J.T. covers as best he can, but Victor doesn’t seem to buy the excuse. Back at home, Victoria tells J.T. that she’s made her choice. She’s going to remain at Newman. Afterward, J.T. mentions the idea of family time at the ranch. He thinks it’s the best tactic to handle Victor. Victoria makes plans for dinner there tomorrow evening.
J.T. also calls Paul to fill him in the safe discovery. He thinks they can crack it and find out what Victor’s hiding. Across town, Nick (Joshua Morrow) realizes Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) knows about Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) hookups with Arturo (Jason Canela). He fears Victor will find out and hit the roof.
Nick finally catches up with Nikki and gets her to spill everything. She shares that she has an understanding with Victor, but hopes Nick will keep his mouth shut anyway. Nick warns Nikki that this could get ugly. He adds that he’ll personally take care of Arturo if Nikki gets hurt in any way.
At Hamilton-Winters, Billy’s (Jason Thompson) anxious to help Lily (Christel Khalil) interview models. There are some awkward moments when they turn out to be men. Billy drinks with the guys at the athletic club later and Phyllis decides to get in on this.
Over with Lily, she gets emotional over the nameplate the twins got her as a present. Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) and Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) are thrilled over the new agency. Things are looking up for Lily, but she could run into problems once her next scheme kicks off.
