The Young and the Restless Spoilers Monday, February 5: Phyllis Suspicious, Chelsea’s Looking Guiltier – Ashley & Victoria Battle – J.T.’s Newman Job Offer

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Monday, February 5, tease that Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) will spar once again. At Newman Enterprises, they argue about Ashley’s plans for Brash and Sassy. Victoria’s irked that Ashley’s been discussing things with Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Lily (hehristel Khalil), but Ash thinks she should dial down her suspicions.

After J.T. (Thad Luckinbell) stops by, Victoria frets about the new hire and eventually suggests another one. Since Cane’s (Daniel Goddard) causing problems for J.T. at Chancellor, Victoria notes that maybe he should come to Newman. She tempts him with an offer to be the head of security, but J.T. isn’t ready to commit just yet.

Later, Victoria and Ashley butt heads again. This time they get to the nitty-gritty of the tension. Victoria warns that she’ll be taking the Newman throne one day, but Ashley suggests nepotism can only get you so far. Sometimes the best person for the position wins out in the end.

At the athletic club, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) notices Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) coming downstairs. She wants give Nikki a pat on the back for scoring a hot night with Arturo (Jason Canela). Over with Nick (Joshua Morrow), he isn’t thrilled to learn Nikki gave Arturo more money for the job. Nikki gives Nick an explanation and he decides to let it go. When Arturo gives Nikki a call, she doesn’t answer.

Meanwhile, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) is determined to help Tessa (Cait Fairbanks). She tells Sharon (Sharon Case) that Tessa no longer has a place to live. Sharon points out that there’s no way Tessa’s coming to live with her again. Mariah has another idea in mind. Once Nick joins them, Mariah pushes for a spot at the homeless complex and eventually gets her way.

Tessa receives an email about the vacancy later. Once she realizes Mariah pulled some strings, Tessa’s touched and offers deep gratitude. At Jabot, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) arrives after being summoned for a meeting. She’s nervous since J.T. wants Chelsea, Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) and Phyllis to hear what he’s learned.

Before J.T. shows up, Lauren and Phyllis push for a press release. They want to address the trouble they’ve faced with the phony Chelsea 2.0 site. Chelsea insists they shouldn’t do that, but she makes Phyllis suspicious in the process. J.T. shows up and mentions the Alexandra West alias. He wants to get the security footage from the bank, but Chelsea once again pipes up that it’s a bad idea.

Chelsea maintains that letting the whole thing go is for the best. Phyllis meets up with Sharon, who divulges the weird incident at the penthouse. She indicates that Nick found several stacks of cash. At home, Chelsea deceives Nick about Lauren wanting to drop the investigation. She fibs that she’s bummed about not getting answers.
