The Young and the Restless Spoilers Monday, August 13: Cane Shocks Lily – Sharon’s Bridesmaid Party Drama – Summer Snoops

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Monday, August 13, tease that Sharon (Sharon Case) will plan a gathering for her bridesmaids. At home, Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) taken aback by a rack of dresses. Summer (Hunter King) shows up soon after and Mariah frets about another girls’ night party.

At Newman Enterprises, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) fills Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) in on her recent visit with Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu). A call comes in from Sharon, who wants Victoria to serve as a bridesmaid. Since Victoria can’t talk Sharon out of it, she agrees to join the others at the cottage. Nikki decides she’ll go with Victoria, so they take off.

Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) goes on the hunt for Summer and eventually finds her at Sharon’s place. A fight ensues in front of the other guests. Summer insists that Phyllis would be better off with Jack (Peter Bergman). She adds that Billy (Jason Thompson) is too wild for her mother, but everyone else sticks up for Phyllis.

Sharon mentions her recent conflict with Nick (Joshua Morrow) and suggests all couples clash sometimes. Nick eventually walks in and takes in the scene. Victoria pipes up that Phyllis should be a bridesmaid as well. She notes that it feels right since Phyllis and Sharon have gotten so chummy.

Nick doesn’t object, but Sharon and Phyllis aren’t amused. They agree the guest list is the place for Phyllis. When Summer grills Mariah about Nick and Sharon’s conflict, she learns her dad spent the night away from the house. Once Nick’s gone, the ladies settle on a dress to wear at the “Shick” nuptials. They grab their wine and toast to Hilary (Mishael Morgan) before Mariah and Summer start bickering.

Summer takes that as her cue to leave and Mariah retreats upstairs. Phyllis, Nikki, Sharon and Victoria are all left to chat privately. Victoria takes heat for trying to rope Phyllis into being a bridesmaid, but Nikki defends her. She insists Victoria was just kidding around.

Next, the cover-up crew talks about how stressful the J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) situation has been. Sharon feels like the nightmare will never end, but they all agree their pact hasn’t changed. They have to keep what happened a secret.

Across town, Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily (Christel Khalil) sit down with the twins. Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) admits she’s nervous about Lily’s potential sentence, but Cane promises he’ll make sure they stick together. Charlie pulls Mattie aside later and suggests that he has a way to help Lily. Back with Cane, he fills Lily in on his getaway plan. She’s shocked when Cane wants to leave for Australia tonight.

As Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) debate their Billy (Jason Thompson) problem, Summer spots them. She quizzes them about what they’re up to and eventually ends up in Billy’s office. Summer argues that Kyle and Ash are conspiring against him, but Billy’s not interested in discussing it. He tells Summer to get out, but she doesn’t buy that it’s what he really wants.

Ashley senses that Summer could be a threat, so she warns Kyle to get a grip on her. “The Young and the Restless” fans will be anxious to see if that’s possible. Summer’s pretty hard to control!
