The Young and the Restless Spoilers Monday, April 9: Victor Can’t Speak After Stroke – Newmans Reel Over Murder Attempt – Kyle’s Reign Of Terror

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Monday, April 9, tease that J.T. (Thad Luckinbell) will coldly walk away from dying Victor (Eric Braeden). At the hospital, J.T. exits and some staff members rush to Victor’s bedside. They revive him while J.T. finds Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and suggests he’s not feeling well.

J.T. and Victoria Talk to Reed

At home, Victoria gets some tea ready for J.T. She also sits down for a chat with Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) about his own life. They discuss having J.T. in Genoa City with them and they’re on the same page about it being nice. Afterward, J.T. learns there’s no news on Victor’s status. He tells Victoria they should give Reed updates on their wedding plans. J.T. and Victoria do just that a little later.

Sharon Tries to Befriend Victoria

Reed’s fine with it when they reveal their marriage goal at the coffeehouse. Victoria also stops to speak with Sharon (Sharon Case) for a moment. She’s grateful for the counseling suggestion and notes that it’s really working out. When Sharon hears that Victoria lacks real friendships, she pushes for a girls’ night soon.

Nick Ditches Sharon for Summer

Sharon has a conversation with Nick on Monday, too. She hopes to spend some time with him later and hopefully take his mind off Victor. Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) sets the same goal and ultimately wins out. Nick wants to reschedule with Sharon so he can video chat with Summer at Phyllis’ place.

Phyllis and Sharon Get Heated

Billy (Jason Thompson) isn’t happy about Nick’s visit to the apartment, but Phyllis convinces him to deal with it. Later, Sharon hurries over to tell Nick about Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) phone calls. She’s been frantically trying to reach him, so Nick leaves for the hospital. That gives Phyllis and Sharon a chance to bicker about which one of them should be supporting Nick right now!

Viktor’s Family Worried Over Murder Attempt

Nick finds the rest of the family and they’re all shocked to learn someone tried to kill Victor. His life support was turned off on purpose. The Newmans assume it’s the same culprit as before and contend that Jack (Peter Bergman) must be innocent. J.T. embraces worried Reed, who wonders who could do such a thing to his grandfather.

Viktor Glares at J.T.

As for Victor, he’s alert and speechless. A small stroke has affected his ability to talk. However, Victor gives J.T. a menacing glare from his hospital bed. In the jail visiting area, Jack and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) mull over Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) reign of terror. Jack’s anxious to score his freedom and make things right at Jabot. He’s glad to hear Victor’s awake later.

Devon Tries to Get Rid of Hilary

Across town, Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and Devon (Bryton James) argue about the latest drama. Devon is outraged over the way Hilary meddled with Simone (Shanica Knowles). Hilary doesn’t see the problem since Simone deserved to know. They go back and forth until Devon blurts out that the deal’s off the table. If Hilary isn’t expecting a baby already, Devon’s done with all this.
