The Young and the Restless Spoilers Monday, April 2: Victoria Won’t Marry J.T. – Billy Hires A Pro – Ashley Wants To Protect Jack

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Monday, April 2, tease that J.T. (Thad Luckinbell) will want to move full-speed ahead with wedding plans. At home, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) points out that J.T.’s not even divorced yet. J.T. insists he can fix that. He meets with Mac (Kelly Kruger) to sort out custody details a little later. J.T. agrees to supervised visits, but wants the divorce papers signed ASAP.

Afterward, Mac speaks to Sharon (Sharon Case) about how abusive and controlling J.T. can be. When Victoria appears, Mac hustles out. Sharon takes the opportunity to question Victoria about J.T.’s issues. However, Victoria suggests she wouldn’t be with anyone who didn’t treat her right. Since Sharon isn’t really getting anywhere, she notes that counselling might be a good idea.

Victoria rejoins J.T. at home and reveals that she can’t marry him. It looks like some doubts are finally creeping in. At the jail visiting area, Billy (Jason Thompson) and Phyllis (Gina Togoni) show their support for Jack (Peter Bergman). They discuss Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) return and bad attitude.

Jack’s feeling blue since Kyle wants nothing to do with him, Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) angry and Dina’s (Marla Adams) memories are fading. He feels like his family is slipping away from him. Phyllis shifts the conversation to finding the true culprit. She wants to help Jack, but Billy thinks they need a real private investigator. He doesn’t want Phyllis putting herself in any kind of danger.

After Billy hires a pro, he once again lectures Phyllis about getting too involved in an ex’s drama. Phyllis counters that Billy is pretty involved in Victoria’s relationship issues. Billy can’t argue with that, so they just try to concentrate on keeping their own romance strong.

In Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) suite, she has a nice chat with Devon (Bryton James) in bed. They consider what their kid might be like before having sex again. Hilary and Devon want to give themselves an extra shot at making a baby.

At Hamilton-Winters, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) grills Lily (Christel Khalil) about meddling in Devon and Hilary’s business. Lily doesn’t seem to care. She just can’t get on board with the baby plan. Later, Lily and Mariah get some texts. They learn both Devon and Hilary will be coming in late, so Mariah guesses that’s not by chance.

Across town, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) tells Abby (Melissa Ordway) they need to keep Jack’s paternity a secret. The DNA test results revealed that Jack isn’t John’s (Jerry Douglas) son, but Ash notes that they don’t know who his biological dad is. Abby argues that this would make Jack own up to his mistakes with the blood-Abbott clause. Nevertheless, Ashley just doesn’t want to strike that blow.
