The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Lauren Becomes Jabot Player – Fan’s Thrilled Tracey Bregman’s Will Be Seen More

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Lauren Becomes Jabot Player - Fan's Thrilled Tracey Bregman's Will Be Seen MoreLauren’s (Tracey Bregman) elevation to Jabot’s Chief Operating Officer shouldn’t come as a surprise on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Phyllis’ (Gina Tognoni) longtime confidant was the right person to tap for the second spot within this family company. Soapy developments also should allow Bregman to be seen on-screen more often, which her fans are cheering.

Phyllis is smart. She has the gumption to reach for the top spot and then achieved it. But she also knows that a lack of top level executive experience will require reliance on a trusted mentor. Thus Lauren is the perfect pick.

Bregman joined Y&R’s cast in 1984. Obviously making a strong impression, she earned a Daytime Emmy Award the next year for her great performances. Now, in 2018, her character, Lauren, is helping Phyllis to run a company that was once founded by John Abbott (Jerry Douglas).

As hardcore fans recall and has been addressed in more recent years, Lauren used to be Traci’s (Beth Maitland) worst enemy. The two women have actually become more then colleagues, they are also friends.

Y&R’s sharp reversal of age-old arcs has truly turned Jabot on its head. Jack (Peter Bergman) unable to be voted back in as Chief Executive Officer? Even Billy (Jason Thompson) couldn’t muster enough support to reclaim his dad’s chair?

Lauren negotiated a deal with Jack a few years ago that resulted in Jabot investing in Fenmore’s, which written into a sudden financial struggle years ago. That storyline played off real world retail ice-age fears.

A wise fly-in of Eric (John McCook), in a short series of nice cross-back scenes, which followed Bregman’s own crossovers to ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’, starting in 1993, blocked Jack from taking a controlling interest in Fenmore’s. Instead, Jabot only controls forty-nine percent of Lauren’s company to this day.

Daytime life is good whenever a respected actor, who has been on recurring status, can be written into the possibility of more regular work. Lauren’s elevation at Jabot will hopefully be followed by her husband Michael’s (Christian Le Blanc) Genoa City increase as well.
