The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Jordi Vilasuso Teases Major Drama When Rey Arrives

Soap veteran and Emmy-winner Jordi Vilasuso has joined the cast of “The Young and the Restless,” and he invites fans to watch out for his debut on the soap this Friday, August 17.

Many would remember him from “Guiding Light,” and he most recently played Dario in “Days of Our Lives.” This time, Jordi will play the mysterious man, Rey, on Y&R.

In a teaser video, Jordi shares that he is excited to be back on the CBS Daytime and to come to Genoa City as Rey who brings some secrets.

In an earlier post, Jordi thanked the Y&R family for welcoming him in his new home, as well as his fans for all the love and support. He said, “Friends, can’t wait til you see what Rey’s going to be stirring up in Genoa City!”

Jordi was part of “Guiding Light” from 2001 to 2003, playing the character of Tony Santos. That role landed him his Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Leading Actor award in 2003. He was also part of “Fashion House” and “All My Children”.

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers tease that Rey will be part of the storyline involving J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbill) disappearance. Rey is going to collect some debt when he comes to town, and he is looking at the connection Nick (Joshua Morrow), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Sharon (Sharon Case) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) have to J.T.

When the newcomer arrives at Genoa City on Friday, spoilers said he would first set his eyes on Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki. Given his reputation, Victor is the primary suspect on J.T.’s mysterious disappearance. As J.T. sent Victor to near-death, Victor has the right motivation to want him gone.

What secrets will Rey be able to uncover? Will he find out the real reason J.T. is gone and reveal that Nikki, Victoria, Sharon and Phyllis are all responsible?
