The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Hilary’s Death Shakes Genoa City To Its Core

This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, but it looks like there is going to be a huge fallout following Hilary’s  [Mishael Morgan] death. That’s because Devon [Bryton James] is emotionally gutted over Hilary, with Neil bringing home from the hospital.

As a matter of fact, The Young and the Restless executive producer and head writer Mal Young says that this experience might be too much for Devon. He and Hilary were finally in a good place and he was about to have the family that he’s always wanted.

Sure, they had their past and their differences but Devon was also looking forward to a new life together. And if there is one person who understands him and is also thankfully by his side, it’s Neil.

Mal tells Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, “Devon is in a state of shock from experiencing so much pain in such a short amount of time. Neil is especially concerned as he can relate to the pain of losing a spouse. When Drucilla died, Neil shut everyone around him and spiraled out of control, so he doesn’t want the same thing to happen to Devon. Neil knows that right now, Devon needs the love and support of his family.”

Hilary’s passing away will also greatly affect Jack, Phyllis, and Mariah [Camryn Grimes], all of who were very close to her. In addition, the Hamilton, Winters, and Ashby family will feel pain like they’ve never felt before. Hilary’s demise will be felt for a long time, as there will be a huge fall out that is yet to come.
