The Young and the Restless Spoilers Friday, October 5: Billy and Summer’s Hook-up Shocker – Dumped Nick Moves Out – Faith’s Meltdown

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Friday, October 5, tease that the wedding chaos will continue. At the church, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) protests to Billy (Jason Thompson) that the sex happened on a break. Billy fires back that they were only broken up for two days. Sharon (Sharon Case) points out that it only took one night on Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) end.

Nick tries to tell Sharon how sorry he is, but she doesn’t want to hear it. She slaps him, which earns her some praise from Billy. He notes that he gets the next shot, but Jack (Peter Bergman) stops his brother’s punch. The minister gets fed up with all the mayhem and sends everyone out.

Fortunately, Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) got Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) out of there before the worst of it. Faith isn’t around for Nick and Sharon’s big fight at home either. Noah (Robert Adamson) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) are left to deal with the mess. They offer some lectures and convince “Shick” to at least have a conversation.

Once Nick and Sharon have the place to themselves, they revisit the drama. Nick wants to repair the damage, but Sharon doesn’t think it’s possible. They’ve been down this painful road too many times. Sharon doesn’t see a future for them anymore, but Nick can’t believe it all has to end like this.

Back with Mariah and Noah, they talk about “Shick” imploding. Noah doesn’t blame Mariah for filling Sharon in on Nick’s betrayal. He suggests that he would’ve come clean, too. Mariah decides it’s time to bring up her romance with Tessa (Cait Fairbanks). She wishes she would’ve been honest with Noah sooner.

Noah admits he had a hard time getting over Tessa, but he did it. He’s concerned about Mariah being Tessa’s next victim, but Mariah insists that won’t happen. She describes their intense relationship and tells Noah she’s happy, so he gets on board.

Mariah and Noah eventually collect Faith for the trip home. When they arrive, Sharon gives Faith an apology for how she behaved at the wedding. Faith’s curious about what’s next for their family. That’s when Nick appears with packed bags and reveals that he has to move out with Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen). Faith gets upset and snarls about her parents ruining this as expected.

Over with Billy, he breaks things off with Phyllis and tells her to get out of the Abbott house. Phyllis finds herself in a hotel room later looking glum. She guzzles drinks from the mini bar and considers giving Billy a call. Meanwhile, Billy reaches out to Summer (Hunter King) and makes a move. He lets her know there’s nothing stopping them now, but only if she wants it, too.

Summer accepts the offer and takes Billy back to her place. They have some steamy sex, so it’s clear that Billy’s an impulsive mess right now. Elsewhere, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) debate Sharon’s latest feud with Phyllis. They just hope they won’t take it too far and put the cover-up secret at risk.

Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Arturo (Jason Canela) also discuss what went down at the nuptials. He suggests that everyone makes mistakes, so she should go easy on Nick. Abby’s made mistakes of her own, so she gets it. However, Abby contends that some blunders can’t be overcome. She mentions all her family’s issues, but he isn’t scared off. They decide to distract themselves with tequila and dancing.
