The Young and the Restless Spoilers Friday, October 19: Blackmailer’s J.T. Bomb – Kyle Opens a Safe with a Secret – Nick’s Sneaky Plan

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Friday, October 19, tease that Dina’s (Marla Adams) memory issues will cause conflict. At the Abbott mansion, Dina doesn’t remember Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and ends up getting snappy. Ash lashes out as well, but tries to help Dina recall with some old mementos.

Dina indeed remembers a few things, but only happy moments. Ashley’s irritated since so much of what Dina did was unpleasant. They spar again, but Dina notes that she has proof of better times. Ashley isn’t interested, so she picks up the box and marches out of the room.

Dina’s determined to find this evidence. It brings a search around the house, which Kyle (Michael Mealor) soon witnesses. He asks Dina what’s up, so she talks about being a good mom. After Dina fills Kyle in on the proof, her clues lead him to the Jabot safe. There’s something John (Jerry Douglas) stashed inside and it relates to Ashley.

With Dina’s assistance, Kyle figures out the combination and opens the safe. Y&R fans will be anxious to see the shocker it contains. In the meantime, Nick (Joshua Morrow) pesters Sharon (Sharon Case) again. They discuss Christian (Jude and Ozzy MgGuigen), who misses Sharon and the rest of the fam. Sharon is more than willing to stay in the tot’s life, but she doesn’t want anything to do with Nick.

Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) disrupts their chat, so Sharon gets him chatting about his new mattress. Nick’s irked when Sharon goes up to the apartment to see it. Over with Abby (Melissa Ordway), she tells her troubles to Arturo (Jason Canela). Abby’s upset about her crumbling family, but doesn’t think Arturo or anyone else can help.

Nick corners Abby soon after and wonders why there’s tension between the Rosales brothers. Abby wants to know what Nick’s getting at. He admits that he’s suspicious of Rey. Nick needs info so he can figure out why Rey wants Sharon in his orbit. He convinces Abby to find out whatever she can.

Back with Sharon, she joins Rey at the police station. Rey’s appreciative when Sharon presents him with a new set of sheets. After Mariah (Camryn Grimes) calls, it brings up a discussion about Cassie (Camryn Grimes) and the loss Sharon faced. Rey’s sympathetic and talks about his own desire for children. His estranged wife wasn’t interested in starting a family with him.

At Crimson Lights, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) sees a distressed Ashley. She can relate to having to prove herself against her brothers. Victoria returns to her office, where she’s visited by a rattled Sharon. The blackmailer has sent another message, so Sharon tells Victoria to check her email. Sharon, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) already received their latest bombshells.

Victoria opens it and learns the threat is serious. There’s a picture of the sculpture J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbill) buried under. The blackmailer promises the cops will be notified if a real payment isn’t made, so the cover-up crew should be spooked!
