Once Neil shows up, he gets the car accident news and gives Jack a pep talk. Neil assures Jack that he’s still the same guy. The DNA results can’t change that. Jack rants about losing his identity and having no real foundation anymore. Neil insists he’ll break his sobriety as well if Jack won’t listen. Jack can’t let Neil do that. As their conversation wraps up, Neil maintains that Jack has to shift his point of view.

Meanwhile, several Genoa City residents make plans for the New Hope dinner. Billy (Jason Thompson) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) fret over Jack but agree to join the event together. Over with Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and Devon (Bryton James), they discuss nursery plans. Devon’s eager to be a dad and believes they won’t need to try again. Hilary also accepts his invitation to the New Hope party.
At Sharon’s (Sharon Case) place, she talks to Nick (Joshua Morrow) about their “friends with benefits” arrangement. They’re happy to be on the same page. Nick suddenly realizes the New Hope dinner is tonight, so they quickly don some fancy clothes and prepare to head out. Sharon and Nick plan to contain their hot chemistry while they’re at this gathering.
At the athletic club, Sharon and Phyllis join Nikki for a moment alone. They all bicker about what Victoria (Amelia Heinle) spilled to Paul (Doug Davidson). Phyllis gets flak for not doing a better job of hiding the cell phone. Nevertheless, they all agree to try harder and really focus on keeping things under wraps.
The New Hope event brings a very jealous evening for Nick and Sharon. Nikki wants to butter up a business associate named Jane (Laura James) in hopes of making her a donor. She pushes Nick to turn on the charm and get her chatting. Phyllis also tries to play matchmaker for Sharon and a man named Lawrence (Zach Dulin).
Nick and Sharon end up bailing on the dinner early to talk. At home, they discuss their envy this evening. They can’t get on board with dating other people. Nick and Sharon decide they want more than just sex, so they’re officially back on. They lean in for a warm embrace and a steamy kiss.

Devon and Hilary also cap the night off by moving in close. Phyllis and Billy interrupt, but “Hevon” fans should still see more progress! “The Young and the Restless” spoilers say some fantastic scenes are coming up.
