A woman named Shauna (Camryn Hamm) catches Devon off guard. She appears and announces that she’s searching for Hilary. Shauna states that Hilary helped her out when her brother overdosed recently. Hilary’s been serving as Shauna’s mentor and agreed to handle all the medical bills.
Once Devon knows the truth, he finds Hilary to question her. Devon wonders why she kept her mouth shut, but Hilary doesn’t think anyone ever buys her good intentions. She adds that she needed to respect Shauna’s privacy. Devon wants to forget about the whole resignation thing, but he suggests that a romantic reunion is a bad idea.
At the penthouse, Anita (Catherine Bach) gripes when Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) only willing to offer Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) engagement ring. She’d rather have the $25,000 instead, but a ring is better than nothing. Once Anita trades the video for it, Nick gets ready to watch Chelsea’s message.
Sharon’s (Sharon Case) arrival causes a brief delay. She checks on Nick and notes that there’s plenty of room at her place. Sharon thinks Nick and Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) should move in, but he decides to pass.
Later, Nick views the video. Chelsea wanted Christian to watch it on his 18th birthday. She shares that Adam (Justin Hartley) is his biological father and talks about the DNA results being changed.
Chelsea admits that Sage (Kelly Sullivan) knew everything and talks about how much love everyone had for Christian. After Nick struggles with his emotions, he meets back up with Sharon to accept her generous offer. Nick’s moving in after all!
Over with J.T. (Thad Luckinbell) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle), they argue about the phone call to Mac (Kelly Kruger). Victoria just wanted to help, but J.T. thinks it made the situation worse. He grumbles about how controlling Victoria is. Their next conversation isn’t much better. J.T. gets on Victoria’s bad side again by mentioning her work insecurities.
Ashley (Eileen Davidson), on the other hand, feels hopeful. She’s pleased with a business deal and hopes to celebrate with Jack (Peter Bergman). Unfortunately, a shocker interrupts their toast. Dina (Marla Adams) makes a video call from a train. She reveals that she’s lost and doesn’t know what to do.
