The Young and the Restless Spoilers Friday, June 29: J.T. Security Footage Shocker – Newman Crisis – Summer Comes to Billy’s Rescue

The Young and the Restless Spoilers Friday, June 29: J.T. Security Footage Shocker – Newman Crisis – Summer Comes to Billy’s RescueThe Young and the Restless” spoilers for Friday, June 29, tease that it’ll be a big day for Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case). At home, they mull over their upcoming visit with a social worker. When someone shows up at the door, Nick answers and is surprised to see Victoria (Amelia Heinle). She learns Sharon’s nervous about the meeting and helps Nick reassure her.

Talk turns to Victoria’s troubles, which naturally involve all the Newman drama. She notes that another crisis has hit. Now a sexism story is circulating. Victoria reveals that Newman’s being scrutinized for gender pay discrepancies. Nick can tell that Victoria’s frazzled, so he does his best to support her.

After Victoria exits, Sharon receives a message from Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). She fibs about the reason for taking off on Nick and meets up with the cover-up gang. Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) maintains that there’s no way J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbill) alive. Sharon disagrees and wonders if J.T.’s coming for them. An exasperated Victoria finally shuts everyone up before getting some Newman updates.

Victor (Eric Braeden) has ordered some security footage from a site with tampered equipment. Phyllis thinks that once Vic scores it, they can put any fears to rest. After a Newman press conference, Victor indeed gets the security footage. When they take a look, Victoria and Nikki are blown away by what’s on screen. They gape at a man who seems to be J.T. – or potentially his doppelganger.

Meanwhile, Summer (Hunter King) bugs Billy (Jason Thompson) a few times and finally gets confronted about her behavior. Billy doesn’t like all the flirting that’s been going on. He’s not happy that Summer roped him into gambling either. They argue, but Billy eventually softens a tad. Summer wants to give friendship a try, so they opt for a fresh start.

At the apartment, Phyllis scrambles around on the floor. She’s trying to find an earring she lost, but Billy suddenly recalls the stray poker chip. Summer discreetly grabs it and puts Billy’s mind at ease. Once Phyllis is out of the room, Summer promises to have Billy’s back.

Back with Nick and Sharon, the social worker shows up and grills them about the situation. Sharon is ready with answers about how she’s managing her bipolar disorder. Nick agrees that everything’s under control. They’re prepared to raise Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) in a loving, stable home.

After the social worker heads out, Sharon and Nick discuss how things went. They feel pretty good about the meeting, so they shift to the topic of their looming nuptials. Nick thinks they should have an autumn wedding, so Sharon quickly gets on board. The engaged lovebirds lock lips to celebrate, but will they actually make it to the altar?
