The Young and the Restless Spoilers Friday, July 6: J.T.’s Return Bombshell – Ashley’s Big Announcement – Kyle’s Gravedigging

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Friday, July 6, tease that Billy (Jason Thompson) will need a new plan. At Jabot, Summer (Hunter King) appears and wonders how he’s holding up after his big loss. Billy insists he has to get Jaboat back before word spreads.

Meanwhile, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) does some party planning. She wants to have a fun shindig on – you guessed it – Jaboat. After Summer gets an invitation, she blabs about the surprise birthday bash to Billy. He whips out his phone to call Phyllis and lie about yacht repairs. Phyllis buys it and decides they can just have the party at the apartment.

At Newman Enterprises, Victor (Eric Braeden) rages about Scott’s (Daniel Hall) article. He’s the one who wrote about J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbill) vanishing act and implied Vic was behind it. Ashley (Eileen Davidson) wants to talk about all the attacks on Newman, but Victor’s dismissive. He pipes up about loyalty, but Ash informs him that she’s quitting and heading back to Jabot.

Over with Abby (Melissa Ordway), she gets updates from Arturo (Jason Canela). He feels like Victor’s targeting him again, so Abby promises to take care of it. Arturo wants to confront Victor together, but Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) gets in their way. She shows up at the athletic club and admits she’s to blame for Arturo’s harassment.

An appalled Abby lashes out at her stepmom, but Nikki isn’t sorry. They argue about Arturo refusing to back off Abby. Nikki declares that no one messes with her and leaves him a huff. Once they’re alone, Arturo suggests they should run along to Billy’s birthday gathering.

At the party, Ashley makes her Jabot return announcement. She wants to take her spot as the company’s COO. The news gets some awkward reactions, but Ashley remains excited about the comeback. Abby feels like her mom’s bailing on her at Newman, so she promptly complains.

Kyle (Michael Mealor), on the other hand, thinks he’ll never get ahead at Jabot now. He gripes to Summer and eventually pitches himself as COO. Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) also questions Ashley’s motives. She thinks Ash will try to worm her way to the top, but Ashley admits that things are going well right now. Billy’s CEO stint is running smoothly, so Ashley doesn’t intend to interfere.

Kyle and Summer take a breather on the balcony. Since Kyle’s feeling pretty low, he opens up about not knowing where he belongs. Kyle hints that he may dig up Phillip Chancellor’s (Donnelly Rhodes) corpse himself and later, he starts doing just that. Y&R fans can expect Kyle to get his hands dirty at the cemetery.

Over with Ashley, she suggests Billy shouldn’t fight her on this. Ash is prepared to call a board vote if necessary and points out that could be embarrassing for her brother. Billy ultimately relents and welcomes Ashley back with a hug. The look on his face lets us know he’s nervous!

At Sharon’s (Sharon Case) place, The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Nikki pops in and vents about all the drama she’s facing. There’s the Newman crisis, the custody issue, the Arturo situation…it’s all too overwhelming. While they’re chatting, they hear a noise outside. When Nikki and Sharon gaze out the window, they spot a guy in a gray hoodie. He eventually turns around and gives them the shock of their lives.

J.T.’s cold eyes peer in at the screaming ladies. Is this for real or a lookalike scam? Whatever the case, “The Young and the Restless” spoilers say chaos is about to erupt. We’ll keep you posted as other Y&R details and rumors emerge. Stay tuned to see what’s ahead in Genoa City.
