The Young and the Restless Spoilers Friday, February 9: Victor Sneakiness Shocks Chelsea – Phyllis & Nick’s Startling Find – Victoria Declines J.T.’s Proposal

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Friday, February 9, tease that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) will be surprised to see Sharon (Sharon Case). At the columbarium, Sharon notes that she wanted to visit Cassie’s (Camryn Grimes) grave as well as Adam’s (Justin Hartley) marker. After Sharon reveals that she left the flower, the ladies talk about Adam’s mom.

Chelsea eventually gets rid of Sharon so she can open Adam’s slot. She’s shocked when she sees that all the money’s missing. Chelsea finds Nick but has to dash off again after getting a text. The message asks if Chelsea had a nice visit with Christian’s (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) real father.

Chelsea fibs that this is work-related before heading out. Meanwhile, Hilary (Mishael Morgan) shares some of her pregnancy fears with Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). She doesn’t know if she’s got a bun in the oven yet, but she’s worried about the “baby daddy” is a psycho.

Phyllis offers reassurance while Nick meets up with Sharon. Once Sharon explains the bizarre cemetery encounter, Nick’s understandably suspicious. He decides to track down Phyllis and see what she thinks. Phyllis brings up the threatening texts Chelsea received. Nick confesses that Chelsea didn’t mention them. They head over to the columbarium to do some investigating.

After Nick and Phyllis arrive, they notice something peculiar about Adam’s marker. It isn’t on straight. Across town, Devon (Bryton James) gives Victor (Eric Braeden) a warning about Noah (Robert Adamson). It’s not a good idea to have drunken outbursts. Someone could record it if it happens again.

Victor vows to handle the matter and he does just that a bit later. He summons Noah to his office, scolds him and offers advice. Afterward, it’s Chelsea’s turn for drama. She shows up in a panic over the paternity-related text. Victor argues that he can take care of this. He plops Chelsea’s money on his desk and smugly says she must’ve misplaced it.

Back with Hilary, she enjoys some close moments with Devon at Hamilton-Winters. They’re soon interrupted by Simone (Shanica Knowles). Devon plans to sign this talented singer to his label if he can get her on board. He announces that he’s going to take Simone on his private jet.

At home, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) asks J.T. (Thad Luckinbell) to monitor Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) activities for her. J.T. reminds Victoria that she hired him to do security for all employees. He doesn’t want to target the ones she hates.

Victoria’s sorry for letting work problems invade their personal time. She dons a new dress that J.T. bought for her and learns he rescheduled her meeting. They have the evening to themselves.

When Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily’s (Christel Khalil) vow renewal comes up, J.T. hints that maybe they should take the next step. Victoria suggests that if J.T.’s proposing, she has to decline. They’re already moving pretty fast, so they’d take some serious flak if they got engaged right now.
