The Young and the Restless Spoilers Friday, August 31: Rey Brings on Victoria’s Panic Attack – Tessa’s Bombshell – Lily’s Memorable Night

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Friday, August 31, tease that Sharon (Sharon Case) will have some crucial questions. At home, Sharon asks about Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) gun. He contends that his hotel doesn’t have a safe, so he opted to carry it. Since Sharon and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) vouch for Tessa (Cait Fairbanks), Rey apologizes for the mistake and takes off.

That leaves Tessa to answer for her behavior. Mariah’s confused about why Tessa didn’t reach out. Sharon is equally miffed and notes that her daughter’s been worried sick. Tessa assures them that Crystal’s (Morgan Obenreder) safe, but she can’t give any other details. As for not getting in touch after the disconnected call, Tessa claims she was just concentrating on getting back to Mariah.

Sharon’s still not buying it, but Mariah eventually settles her mom down. She reminds Sharon that she supported her decision to get back together with Nick (Joshua Morrow). Mariah wants to see where her own relationship might go, so she asks for the same support in return.

Tessa and Mariah head over to Crimson Lights for a private conversation. Once they’re in a booth, Mariah suggests that Sharon knows when she’s not getting the whole story. Tessa admits she left out something big. She turned to some people for help with Crystal, but they demanded $20,000 when it was all said and done.

Mariah freaks about them coming after Tessa if she can’t come up with the cash. They know where she is, so this doesn’t look good. Tessa states that they can figure something out, but not tonight. For now, she’s just grateful to be back where she belongs.

At Newman Enterprises, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) gets a visit from Rey. He mentions the credit card debt, so Victoria notes that J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) must’ve used racked up the charges. Rey isn’t convinced since a source tells him it was somebody else. Victoria wants to pay the debt and let Rey go on his merry way, but he’s not keen on leaving without answers.

After Rey leaves her office, Victoria has a meltdown over Sharon’s voicemail. She hears about the gun and all Sharon’s latest concerns. Victoria calls Nate (Brooks Darnell), who confirms that she had a panic attack. Nate does his best to comfort Victoria, but she isn’t interested. She swears Nate to secrecy and promises she won’t be bothering him again.

Over with Devon (Bryton James), he spots Cane (Daniel Goddard) wining and dining Lily (Christel Khalil) at the athletic club. Cane approaches Devon to talk about Lily’s upcoming sentencing. Devon refuses to budge on the idea of justice. Soon after, he lets Michael (Christian LeBlanc) know that as well.

Back with Cane and Lily, their romantic evening continues. Lily worries that it could be their last chance to have one for 20 years. She wants to make this night memorable, so they dance and bond. Cane tells Lily that they’ll get through this and come out stronger than ever.

After Shauna (Camryn Hamm) makes up with Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry), she goes home and brings Devon up to speed. As they discuss the hearing, Shauna frets about saying something wrong. She wouldn’t want to disappoint Hilary (Mishael Morgan), but Devon assures her that won’t happen.

Shauna is curious about how hard Devon intends to go after Lily in court. The Young and the Restless spoilers say things could get ugly, so we’ll give you updates as other Y&R news and rumors emerge. Stay tuned to see what’s next in Genoa City.
