The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Ashley & Abby Struggle With The Paternity Truth

The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that everyone is left not knowing what to do, now that the cat is out of the bag about Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and his true paternity. As a matter of fact, both Ashley  (Eileen Davidson) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) are left speechless after they discover the results of Jack’s DNA test. This secret could easily tear the Abbott family apart for good.

According to CBS Soaps in Depth, everyone knows that this is going to change their family for good, and not in a positive way, either. As a matter of fact, actress Melissa Ordway, who plays Abby on this hit soap, says that there’s a strong chance this won’t end well.

She told the publication, “It’s definitely shocking to them. They totally expected the DNA test to come back proving Jack’s an Abbott and Dina’s crazy, but that’s not the results they got.” Also, once Jack finds out that he isn’t the biological son of John Abbott, his life will be rocked to the core.

Melissa added, “Finding out you have a different father happened to Ashley and it was devastating to her. Then, Abby saw what this did to her mom when her secret came out at the gala. So, up to a few months ago, Abby thought she was an Abbott and that was taken away from her. Also, Abby’s paternity was hidden from her and for a while, she thought that Brad was her dad, so she really didn’t want this for Jack. She loves her uncle.”

The irony of all this is that Jack used the “blood Abbott” clause in the Jabot bylaws to get rid of Ashley. But now that it has been proven that Jack isn’t an Abbott, only time will tell if Ashley will use this to her advantage. Fans will just have to tune in to find out!
