The Young and The Restless Rumors: Abbott Family Rocked, Ashley Switched Jack’s DNA, He Is An Abbott

The Young and the Restless rumors indicate that Ashley (Eileen Davidson) has a secret that could destroy the Abbott family.

With Eileen Davidson’s exit coming up soon, fans are wondering how the show will write Ashley off the show. According to executive producer Mal Young, there’s going to be a shocking twist coming up that will tie in with Ashley’s exit.

This tidbit of information has led fans to believe that Ashley switched Jack’s (Peter Bergman) DNA results and he’s really John Abbott’s (Jerry Douglas) son.

From the beginning, viewers weren’t happy with Jack’s paternity being rewritten. Due to the outspokenness of the fans, it seems like Y&R has had a change of heart and it will be revealed that Jack is really John’s son.
While Jack fans will be happy with the news, Ashley fans won’t.

Speculation is that Ashley is the one responsible for Jack’s DNA drama. While this would be unlike Ashley’s character, as soap opera fans know characters change all the time, and given how Y&R is it wouldn’t be surprising if they turned Ashley into a villain.

Ashley would have plenty of reason for wanting to do this to Jack. He was the one who issued the blood clause in the Jabot contract, ensuring that only real Abbotts can run the company. Feeling betrayed by her brother using her paternity to oust her from Jabot, Ashley could’ve decided to turn the tables on her dear brother.

If Ashley is the one who switched Jack’s DNA results, the revelation will no doubt rock the Abbotts. Jack is going to be furious and the rest of the family is going to take his side in the matter. Knowing how much she has hurt her family, this will cause Ashley to leave Genoa City, yet the damage may be too much to repair the Abbotts.

Fans will have to wait and see how Jack’s paternity story plays out and what role if any did Ashley have to play in it.
