The Young and The Restless RUMOR: Victor’s Brother Bluff Revealed – Jack IS John Abbott’s Son

The Young and the Restless rumors indicate that Jack’s (Peter Bergman) search for his father may not be over just yet.

Jack’s life was turned upside down when it was publicly revealed that John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) wasn’t his biological father. After a DNA test proved he wasn’t an Abbott, Jack went on a quest to find his real father.

He began digging into his mother Dina’s (Marla Adams) past in hopes of finding the man who could be his father.

Originally, he believed Phillip Chancellor was his father, but a DNA test confirmed Jack wasn’t a blood Chancellor. After facing another dead end, Jack had hope when he discovered a photo of a man in his mother’s belongings.

When Abby (Melissa Ordway) posted the photo on GC Buzz, she learned that the man in the photo was Victor’s (Eric Braeden) father, which would make Jack and Victor brothers.

So it looks like the mystery of Jack’s paternity is finally solved?

The paternity storyline has come under criticism since it first began. Many felt this rewrite of history was dismantling the Abbott family. Now, that Jack and Victor are going to be related, fans are becoming more vocal with their hatred of the storyline.

But there may be hope for them. Rumors are swirling that Jack is indeed John Abbott’s son.

If it’s true that John is Jack’s biological father, there’s the question of how the DNA results got mixed up. The first theory is that there was a mistake in the lab, which is common with soap opera paternity tests.

Another theory is that someone switched the results to get revenge on Jack. Victor would be the number one suspect given his and Jack’s longstanding rivalry. Kyle (Michael Mealor) is also another candidate to add to the list since he and Jack didn’t get off to a great reunion upon Kyle’s return to town.

Will Y&R do another switcheroo and have Jack learn that John is really his father? Or will they go ahead with their plan to make Jack and Victor brothers?

No matter what happens, fans just want some closure to Jack’s paternity story.
