The Young and the Restless RUMOR: Is Mishael Morgan Leaving The Soap?

The Young and the Restless spoilers and rumors indicate that actress Mishael Morgan might have one foot out the door. There are new rumblings within the walls of Television City that the soap star is looking to leave the highly-rated daytime television series after contract negotiations fell apart. Mishael has been portraying her character Hilary for five years now.

According to reports from TV Source, Mishael might have been left upset after her contract negotiations with the soap’s show runners did not work in her favor. She is apparently threatening to leave if things don’t go her way, although the rumor is yet to be confirmed.

The news of course comes at a very bad time for Mishael. After all, her character Hilary and her on-again, off-again love Devon (Bryton James) are expecting their first child together. Should Mishael walk out the door, this might leave her character’s storyline in limbo or force producers to find a new replacement pretty fast.

After all, fans want to know what’s in store for Hilary and Devon. At the same time, there’s a possibility that writers might plan a devastating exit for Hilary and her baby, should Mishael decide that she indeed does want to quit the show.

So far executive producers for The Young and the Restless have not made any comments about the rumors, nor have they confirmed Mishael’s current status with the show. Mishael herself has not confirmed or denied the reports either. Of course, fans will just have to continue tuning in to see what will happen next for Hilary. Even if she does leave, there’s a good possibility that the door will always be open for her return.
