The Young and the Restless rumors indicate that Melissa Claire Egan might be leaving the soap. There’s speculation that the actress might be soon saying good-bye to her character Chelsea Newman on the hit CBS series. The actress has been on the show since 2011.

According to our friend Michael at Soap Opera News, there’s a good possibility that Melissa might be leaving the soap to pursue other projects instead. After all, many soap opera stars leave their daytime shows to go on to bigger and better roles. At this point, it’s all just speculation even though multiple sources have indicated that she’s looking to vacate the role sooner rather than later. She might even be leaving as soon as she wraps up Chelsea Newman’s current storyline.
Right now Melissa’s IMDB page doesn’t reveal any future projects in the pipeline, although anything can change at any given time. So far Melissa Claire Egan herself hasn’t made any comments about her future with The Young and the Restless or what she plans on doing next. Either way, fans will be interested to see what her next steps in her career will be. Her fans will be following her and supporting her no matter what she chooses! At the same time though, they are also hoping that her exit from Genoa City will just be a temporary one, too. Fans will just have to continue to tune in to see what will happen next!
