The Young And The Restless RUMOR: Is Jacob Young Headed To Y&R As Adam Newman Recast?

The Young and the Restless fans would love to see Adam Newman back in Genoa City, and it looks like there are several different candidates that would love to take on the character. As a matter of fact actor Jacob Young, who is best known for his role as Rick Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful, has just thrown his name in the hat for possible contenders, too!

Adam Newman was recently played by actor Justin Hartley. Unfortunately, there’s a small possibility that he would come back to his daytime television roots, as he now has a huge role in NBC’s hit dramedy, This is Us.

The role was previously given to Michael Muhney, but unfortunately The Young and the Restless producers have been relatively quiet about the possibility of bringing him back to the soap.

So should Jacob Young pick up where these two actors have left off on The Young and the Restless by becoming the next Adam Newman? When a fan asked Jacob on Twitter, he did have a few surprising things to say. He started off by saying, “In all honesty I would rather jump off a cliff than play that roll that has been cast and recast and recast.”

Clearly, it wasn’t the response that many of his fans were hoping for. Jacob then clarified his comments by adding, “It’s just a coveted roll and I would but couldn’t do it the justice it deserves.”
