The Young and the Restless Recap Wednesday, November 7: Billy Tells Sharon Nick and Phyllis Are ‘Friends With Benefits’

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Wednesday, November 7, 2018, reveals that over at Jabot, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) tries to ditch Summer Newman (Hunter King), who wants them to work together. He leaves in the elevator. Summer notices Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) arguing in the office. Inside, Jack suggests Phyllis conduct her personal affairs in private.

Phyllis Announces To Billy She Slept With Nick

Phyllis reminds him it’s none of his business and advises him to stop living in the past. Jack doesn’t want to upset her anymore. Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) arrives. Phyllis pre-emptively announces that she slept with Nick last night and Jack doesn’t approve. Billy just wants to work. Jack leaves. Phyllis clarifies that she didn’t have sex with Nick for revenge, but Billy wonders why it was the first thing out of her mouth. Billy leaves.

Summer Asks Phyllis To Let Kyle Work With Her

Next, Summer joins Phyllis to discuss ideas for the virtual dressing room. Summer wants her mother to put Kyle on it with her. Phyllis doesn’t trust him, but Summer urges her to fire him or give him something real to do.

Victoria Asks Sharon to Peek At Rey’s Files

At the Athletic Club, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) are frustrated not having heard from the blackmailer. Victoria wonders if J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) could be alive. She wants Sharon to peek at Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) files again to see if there’s anything to be concerned about and says this is consuming her life. Sharon worries because he caught her before. Victoria’s desperate.

Phyllis Has A Major Assignment For Kyle

Later, Kyle Abbott arrives and approaches Kerry Jones (Alice Hunter), who invites him to join her. Kyle offers to help make her job easier. She asks where he got his chemistry degree from. Kyle insists Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) taught him. Kerry questions if he’s angling to conspire against Phyllis. Later, Kyle gets a call from Phyllis with an update on marketing who reveals she has a major assignment for him.

Jack Reassures Kerry He Is Not Working With Kyle

At Crimson Lights, Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) tells Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) he hopes they find out who the watch belongs to. Later, Billy Abbott encounters Summer Newman, who questions if the coffee’s hot enough to scald the sleaze off of him. Billy reminds her they work together, and lets her know about Phyllis Summers and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).

Summer doubts they are trying to get back together. Billy thought she would like it. Jack Abbott appears. Billy confides he doesn’t think he and Phyllis can work together and says she is too angry at him. Jack’s missing something and wants to know why she so upset with him? Kerry Jones appears and pulls Jack aside to warn him about his son and question if they’re a father/son tag team. Jack reassures Kerry. Jack offers her a ride, and she accepts.

Rey Looks For Clues

In Chancellor Park, Rey Rosales looks around for clues. At the police station, Mackenzie Hellstrom (Kelly Kruger) arrives to see Rey Rosales, who thanks her for coming and explains he requires her help to confirm a new lead. Mackenzie says she will do anything and needs answers for her kids’ sake. Sharon McAvoy arrives and is surprised to see Mackenzie, who goes off with Rey.

Mac Is In Town

Sharon calls Victoria Newman to fill her in. Victoria figures it’s a last-ditch effort to keep the investigation, but Sharon relays that Mackenzie seemed bothered. In the interrogation room, Mackenzie confirms to Rey that the watch was an anniversary gift to JT, who loved it. She asks where he found it.

Mac Tells Victoria About The Watch

Back at the Athletic Club, Victoria Newman thanks Mackenzie Hellstrom for meeting her. They discuss Sharon McAvoy working at the station. Mackenzie updates that Rey Rosales had her identify J.T. Hellstrom’s watch, but didn’t say where they found it.

Victoria learns Rey said it was a significant lead. Mackenzie thinks they will get answers soon. Victoria agrees to keep Mackenzie posted. Abby Newman appears, and Victoria fills her in about the watch. Abby lets her know Arturo Rosales found it in Chancellor Park.

Billy Tells Sharon About Phyllis and Nick

Back at Crimson Lights, Sharon McAvoy joins Billy Abbott, who breaks the news about Nick Newman and Phyllis Summers being sex buddies. Sharon wonders how he can work with her. Billy feels it will be temporary, and tells Sharon she deserves better than Nick’s lies. Sharon will have no doubts now and admits this is a relief. Billy advises her to call if she needs anything.

Summer Tells Kyle About His New Job

Back at Jabot, Summer Newman finds Kyle Abbott waiting in Phyllis Summers’ office for his new assignment. Summer relays she recommended him, and he’s shocked. Kyle’s keen to work together tonight and says he will call Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) and cancel their movie. After, Summer asks Phyllis what’s up with her and Dad. Phyllis wishes she knew. Summer wants her to move on.

Rey Declares Arturo’s Construction Site As A Crime Scene

At the park, Arturo Rosales wants to finish his job, but Rey Rosales is taking over the site and reveals it’s now a crime scene.
