The Young and the Restless RECAP Wednesday, June 13: Jack’s Shocking Discovery, Sharon’s Past Back To Haunt Her

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Wednesday, June 13, 2018, reveals that over at the arbitration Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) questions Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case).

Sharon Attacked for Her Bipolar Disorder

He will bring up Sharon’s past and point out she suffers from a mental illness but Sharon will testify that she has had her bipolar disorder under control. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) interrupts, but Sharon insists she can handle it.

Michael then brings up how Sharon hid Christian’s paternity and tried to raise him as her own while she was on medication. Brittany Hodges (Lauren Woodland) jumps in and talks about Sharon being a stable mother of three, owner of Crimson Lights, and volunteers for a crisis line.

Michael questions her ability to maintain the status quo and Sharon admits she can’t. They take a recess. Nick gets upset because how cruel they are being and tells Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) he is the sick one.

The arbitrator returns and awards temporary custody to Victor due to Sharon living in the home. Permanent custody will be decided at a later date. Victor tells Nick he will be by to pick up his grandson.

Abby Confesses Arturo’s Fling

Over at the Athletic Club, Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) chat. Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) is brought up and Lily is not convinced he is not what Abby wants. Abby tells her about his fling with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). Abby admits besides that he is appealing. Lily wants Abby to give it another shot to see if there is something there.

Jack Afraid To Find Out True Father

Over at Neil’s Winter’s (Kristoff St. John) penthouse, he shows Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) a box full of Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) old diaries and thinks he may find some answers in them. Jack pulls out two that was written around the time he was conceived but is afraid of what he might find.

Neil makes a joke about him finding out Victor Newman is his father to lighten the mood. Jack laughs and says the math doesn’t add up. Jack then starts to read. He comes across Dina talking about a fight she had with John.

Then there is nothing by her for a while. The next entry is her talking about a wonderful illicit affair that happened at the Stardust Inn. Jack is mad because the page with her lovers’ name has been torn out.

At Crimson Lights, Arturo Rosales gets aggravated on a call when an agreement is abruptly terminated.

Abby Gives Arturo a Second Chance

Up at the Dive Bar, Arturo Rosales sees Abby Newman as she is saying goodbye to another man which she explains to him was a business client. Arturo tells her about losing a client and now thinks she is right about her father is behind it.

She apologizes for Victor and Arturo says he will deal with him later. He then adds that he will keep his distance from her so she does not suffer any more collateral damage. Abby stops him from leaving and says she wants to give him a second chance.

He regrets not being honest with her about Nikki Newman. Abby understands if he wants to walk away. Arturo kisses her and says he is not walking away, then kisses her again. And that’s a wrap. Don’t forget to check often with Soap Opera Spy for all your soap needs.
