The Young and the Restless RECAP Tuesday, September 4: Lily Headed To Prison – Judge Reveals Sentence

The Young and the Restless RECAP Tuesday, September 4: Lily Headed To Prison - Judge Reveals Sentence“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Tuesday, September 4, 2018 reveals that over at Sharon McAvoy’s (Sharon Case) place, she tells Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) that Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) can not stay there and she doesn’t want her taking advantage.

Sharon Sends Tessa Packing

Mariah tells her mom that Tessa makes her happy and risked everything to come back there which makes Sharon suspicious. Tessa appears and says she will be leaving today and thanks Sharon. Mariah wonders where she will go.

Tessa does not not want to disrupt Sharon and Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) lives and understands why Sharon doesn’t trust her. Sharon leaves. Tessa assures Mariah she came back for her. Tessa wants to get settled and find a job and a place to live. Mariah comes up with an idea and they head out.

At the courthouse, the judge asks Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) to rise and says he has made his decision. Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) interrupts and says, “I can’t let this happen.”

Devon’s Change Of Heart

The judge allows Devon to speak. Devon has realized that this is not what Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) would have wanted and says he was blinded by grief. He doesn’t want Lily’s kids to become adults without their mother. The judge calls a recess to reconsider.

The Ashby’s wonder if this would help Lily’s case. Nate Hastings (Brooks Darnell) tells Devon that what he did took heart. Lily thanks Devon. Devon doesn’t forgive her and doesn’t think they will ever come back from this. Lily vows to never stop trying to make amends.

Devon walks out and Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) follows him. Charlie Ashby (Noah Alexander) worries he made things worse by not telling his mother about her running the red light. Mattie Ashby (Lexie Stevenson) and Lily agree they needed to hear those words from Devon even if it does not help.

At Crimson Lights, Cane Ashby tries to make Devon Hamilton see they need to be together for the sentencing. Devon doesn’t not want to be there and see them celebrate. Cane admits he is scared the judge will tear his family apart and needs Devon there. Cane leaves.

Sharon McAvoy joins Devon and he tells her he asked for leniency. Sharon thinks Lily Ashby will need him there if she gets time. After, Mariah Copeland talks to Sharon who agrees to offer Tessa a couple shifts at the coffeehouse.

Lily Heads To Prison

Cane Ashby arrives back at the courthouse and reassures Lily Ashby. Devon Hamilton makes it back. The judge reconvenes the hearing. He says justice must be served for Hilary Curtis and her unborn child. Lily is fined, her driving license is suspended, and she is sentenced to 12 months in Walworth State Penitentiary. Lily says goodbye to her family.

Devon approaches and says he didn’t want this to happen to her. She tells him he did more than she hoped for. Cane pulls Lily into his arms. And that’s a wrap. Don’t forget to check often with Soap Opera Spy for all your soap needs.
