The Young and the Restless RECAP Tuesday, September 11: Drama, An Arrest, Nastiness & A Failed Seduction

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Tuesday, September 11, 2018 reveals that over at Dark Horse Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) enjoys his view of the city. Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) appears, but not dressed for the launch party. She says she doesn’t recognize Nick anymore and he gives her a kiss to show it is still the same him. He asks her to come to the party.

At Crimson Lights, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) questions Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) of where Sharon McAvoy is. He remembers the launch party and guesses she is there. Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) arrives and he and Rey bicker. Rey tells him he is not leaving town without seeing his little sister. Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) arrives and she and Tessa chat. Mariah questions Tessa if she is using her. Tessa said the bad guys have called twice from a blocked number. Mariah can not trust her without evidence.

At the Abbott mansion, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) calls Summer Newman (Hunter King) to let her know he booked a suite which he plans to go to after the launch party. Talk turns to Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) paternity. Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) appears. Jack asks her about the man in the photo but she becomes agitated and Kyle takes her to another room to calm her. Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) appears and offers to help Jack get the photo out on her social media. Kyle reappears. He talks vaguely about getting hurt.

At Newman Enterprises, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Henile) wonder if they should go to Nick Newman’s launch party. They do not want to upset Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Victor appears and tells them to go.

At Dark Horse, Arturo Rosales admires the new office. Nick Newman loves the work Arturo has done and offers him a full time job at Dark Horse as head of construction. He says he will have to think about. Abby Newman arrives and learns of the job offer and that Arturo didn’t take it. She advises that he does, but he’s worried since Rey Rosales is in town. She tells him to keep living his life as if he wasn’t there. Nick greets Kyle Abbott, Jack Abbott, and Summer Newman. Sharon McAvoy shows up.

Mariah Copeland arrives and Abby Newman complains that she is late. Abby wants to see the questions Mariah is going to ask before she gets started but Kyle pulls her away. Kyle asks Mariah about things with her and Tessa Porter. Mariah tells him she can not trust her. Kyle looks over at Summer and says there’s nothing worse than finding out someone is using you. Mariah advises him to stay away from Summer. Arturo accepts Nick’s job offer and he announces it. Mariah begins with her interviews.

Victoria Newman arrives. Later, Victor Newman appears and exclaims that a company built on theft is not Nick’s birthright. Tessa shows up and Mariah is not happy about it. Nick begins his official speech and then gives a presentation. In another room, Tessa promises Mariah she came back because she loves her. Meanwhile, during the applause of Nick’s speech Rey Rosales appears with the police. He reveals he is Detective Rey Rosales and arrests Nick.

In the club suite, Summer Newman and Kyle Abbott have some drinks. Kyle kisses her and she says enough with the foreplay and is ready to settle their bet. Kyle asks her if she has some black lingerie and she goes to the bathroom to put it on. Summer reappears and Kyle pretends he is asleep.
