The Young and the Restless RECAP Tuesday, May 15: Abby Searches For Jack, Kyle Worried About Him

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Tuesday, May 15, 2018 reveals that over at Jabot, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) comes in and tells Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has been drinking. Billy reads the DNA results and they talk about it. Kyle tells Billy that Jack took off and Billy rips up the papers. Billy then says forget DNA we are family.

Phyllis Tells Victoria About JT’s Cell Phone

Over at Newman Enterprises, Victoria Newman (Amelia Henile) receives a text from Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) informing her about J.T. Hellstrom’s (Thad Luckinbill) cell phone. Victoria is in a meeting with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson). Ashley gets a call from Billy Abbott and she and Abby take off to Jabot.

At an undisclosed location, Phyllis Summers and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) apprehend a guy that they thought was J.T. Hellstrom but it turns out he is just a homeless guy. The police arrive and they are not happy with Nick interfering.

Devon Considers Replacing Simone

Over at Hamilton-Winters, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) is considering replacing Simone (Shanica Knowles) with an artist he is listening too. Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) wants him to listen to the music with headphones but he says that would mess up his process. Devon notices that Hilary starts moving to the music and goes up behind her and pulls her close to dance. Hilary enjoys the dance and suggest they sign the artist.

Victoria Walks In on Nikki and Arturo Kissing

Over at the Newman Ranch, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) informs Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) that she and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) have called off their arrangement about an open marriage. Arturo is just glad he could help her and gives her one last kiss. Victoria Newman arrives and Nikki introduces them and Arturo takes off. Nikki explains to Victoria that it was just a goodbye kiss. Victoria updates Nikki on her text from Phyllis Summers. They speculate what could be going on. They worry that J.T. Hellstrom is still alive but Phyllis shows up and tells them it wasn’t him and the police now have the phone.

Kyle Worried About Jack

Over at Jabot, Billy Abbott, Kyle Abbott, Ashley Abbott, and Abby Newman speak about Jack Abbott. Ashley says Jack needs them all right now and she knows first hand what he is going through. Billy takes a call and Kyle informs the ladies that he is afraid of what Jack may do next.

BIlly Is Appointed CEO of Jabot

Billy returns and tells them that Jack forgot to sign off on a major deal before the deadline. Ashley calls an emergency meeting to appoint Billy CEO. Billy would rather Ashley step up but she reminds him about the clause. Phyllis Summers arrives and she and Ashley both agree that Billy is the man for the job. The votes confirm Billy as CEO. Billy wants to revoke the Abbott clause but Ashley reminds him that he would have to call another vote for that. Billy sends Abby and Kyle to look for Jack. Ashley gives Billy some ideas to succeed but Phyllis suggest that Billy come up with his own. Billy is okay with using Ashley’s and just wants Jack back.

Sharon Warns Nick To Stop Investigating

At Crimson Lights, Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) tells Nick Newman that he is lucky the police did not press charges. Victoria Newman tells Nick Newman he is making it harder on her that it wasn’t his place to do. She wants him to drop it and let it go.

Abby Blasts Kyle

Over at the Athletic Club, Abby Newman snarks at Kyle Abbott asking him what he thought would happen after digging the memory card out of the ashes. She feels he gave Victor Newman the ammunition to hurt their family and she is not going to stop until she finds out.

Sharon Tries To Tempt Nick

Abby Newman goes to Crimson Lights and fills Arturo Rosales in on her search for Jack Abbott. Arturo talks to her and wants her to hold tight. Over on the patio, Nick Newman tells Sharon McAvoy that he thinks J.T. may have dumped his cell phone and is hiding in plain sight. Sharon wants them to go home so they can be alone.

Paul Wants To Talk To Victoria

Back at the Ranch, Victoria arrives again and complains to her mother about her brother. Victoria gets a call from the police who have read the texts on the cellphone and wants to talk to her. Victoria panics and asks her mother what they are going to do.
