The Young and the Restless RECAP Tuesday, July 31: Summer Seduces Kyle, Gets Juicy Info

“The Young and the Restless” recap for Tuesday, July 31, 2018 reveals that at Sharon McAvoy’s (Sharon Case) place, she and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) both have the same idea of surprising the other with breakfast after reflecting on Hilary Curtis’ (Mishael Morgan) death.

Sharon and Nick Are Proud Of Mariah

They kiss and chat about Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). They are proud of what a good job Mariah did with the tribute. Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) arrives with PR ideas. Nick is impressed and gives her the day off.

Lily Wants To See Devon

At Hamilton-Winters Group, Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) is still devastated over the accident and wants to go see her brother. Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) says he will come along. They hug.

Phyllis Warns Kyle

Over at Jabot, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) debate about Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) Fenmore’s study. Kyle brings up the “other guy.” Summer Newman (Hunter King) appears and they talk about business. Phyllis wants a fashion show report from Summer. Summer questions the tension between Phyllis and Kyle.

Phyllis says Fenmore’s study could lead to rumors of them closing. Kyle then adds that one little “indiscretion” could blow things sky high. After Summer leaves Phyllis warns Kyle not to pull anymore crap in front of Summer or he will regret it. She storms to the elevator and Summer notices. Summer then invites Kyle to join her on the roof top.

Phyllis Tells Nick Their Secret Is Not A Secret

At Crimson Lights, Phyllis Summers joins Nick Newman. They chat about Hilary Curtis then his new business. He tells her if she is ever interested in making a move to let him know. Phyllis then informs him that their secret is not so secret anymore. She let’s him know Kyle Abbott was there. Phyllis has a business trip to take but wants to know if Nick is serious about buying Fenmore’s.

Arturo Misses Abby

At the Dive Bar, Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) points out Abby Newman has been hard to reach lately. She fills him in on her new gig. Cane Ashby comes over to let Abby know Lily Ashby is not doing well. After, Arturo chats with Abby about bringing her to his neighborhood. Kyle Abbott comes by and interrupts. He teases Abby about her new office. Abby and Arturo decide to go somewhere less crowed. Summer Newman joins Kyle.

Summer Seduces Kyle, Gets Info

At Summer Newman’s place, Kyle Abbott still will not give Summer details as to what is up with him and her mother. Summer tries another tactic and claims she is turned on by him and asks him to leave. Kyle pulls her in for a kiss and they start making out on the couch half-naked. Kyle blurts out that he saw another man’s clothes there while Phyllis Summers and Billy Abbott was broke up. She pushes him away and Kyle realizes she lied just to get information.

In the park, Arturo Rosales questions Abby Newman’s intentions with him. He wonders if she is trying to stick it to her family. Abby let’s him know that she doesn’t operate that way. They dance.

Cane Warns Shauna To Keep Quiet

Over at the penthouse, Shauna Nelson (Camryn Hamm) is not happy to see Lily Ashby and Cane Ashby. Lily tells Shauna that she knows how she feels and Shauna snaps at her replying, “Excuse me? You don’t have the slightest idea how I feel!” Shauna then brings up that Lily did not even like Hilary Curtis. Lily takes a call from Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). Shauna then tells Cane that Lily ran a red light and is going to get away with it. Cane warns her not to say anything. Lily gets off the phone and Cane suggests they leave.

Nick Wants A Big Wedding

Back at Sharon McAvoy’s place, Nick Newman gives Sharon a kiss and a new bracelet. He wants them to plan a fall wedding. Sharon is fine with them having a small ceremony, but Nick wants something big. He also wants to move off his dad’s property and build a house of their own.

At the Abbott mansion, Abby Newman invites Arturo Rosales in, but he is called away to work.

At Hamilton-Winters Group, Cane Ashby tells Lily Ashby the funeral is tomorrow. He looks worried as he comforts her.
