The Young and the Restless RECAP Tuesday, July 24: Nate Thinks Hilary Should Know Her Condition

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Tuesday, July 24, 2018 reveals that over at the Dive Bar, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) finishes up with the show. Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) tells her she did great. Mariah says she needs to go see Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan). Tessa is worried and Mariah snaps that she can not believe a word that comes out of her mouth these days.

At the Hospital, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) tries to stay optimistic as Nate Hastings (Brooks Darnell) explains they are all out of options. Nate suggests that Devon make the best of the time that Hilary Curtis has left. Devon doesn’t want Hilary to know, but Nate thinks she deserves the truth. Devon hopes for a miracle. Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil), Charlie Ashby (Noah Alexander), and Mattie Ashby (Lexie Stevenson) join Devon. Lily sends the kids to the gift shop since she can tell something is wrong. Devon cries and Lily begins to cry also and says “No.”

They embrace. Devon warns that Hilary is not aware of her condition. Devon pulls himself together before going in to see her. She asks about Lily and Charlie and then Shauna Nelson (Camryn Hamm). Hilary thinks it’s the universes way of telling her she doesn’t deserve to be a mom. Devon promises her she will be a great mom one day. Devon takes off while Nate is examining Hilary and has Lily to stay with her. Lily goes in and tearfully apologizes to Hilary and Hilary says it takes two. Lily regrets the hard time she has given Hilary. Lily asks for forgiveness and Hilary says there is nothing to forgive. Hilary is excited they will be friends once she gets out of there.

At the Athletic Club, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) chat about Chancellor. Cane realizes that Jack does not know about Hilary Curtis and he fills him in.

Jack Abbott, Cane Ashby and Mariah Copeland all arrive at the hospital. Charlie Ashby wants to go see Shauna Nelson, but Cane forbids it. Lily Ashby comes and joins them and they realize Charlie is gone. Lily breaks down to Cane about Hilary not going to make it. Mariah goes in to see Hilary and so does Jack. Jack gives Hilary a pep talk and kisses her head then leaves. Mariah is heartbroken about the baby and Hilary tears up. Hilary is afraid of losing Devon Hamilton now. He appears and says she couldn’t be more wrong. Mariah hugs Devon then leaves. In the waiting room, Mariah is annoyed to see Tessa Porter there. She walks out and yells for Tessa not to follow her. Cane takes a call from Charlie.

Charlie says he is concerned about Shauna. In Hilary’s room, she tells him about the visitors she has had. She then asks Nate how she is doing and he tells her she is holding her own. After Nate leaves Devon starts to talk about their love for one another. Devon wants her to be his wife again. He wants to make it happen right away. He says he will help her recovery as her husband and then pulls out an engagement ring. Hilary is stunned. He places it on her finger and they kiss. Back out in the waiting room, Cane tells Lily the wreck was just an accident. Lily gets a call from a police officer who wants to talk with her.

Over at the penthouse, Shauna Nelson answers the door and Charlie Ashby is there. Charlie wants to know why she is not at the hospital. She says she can’t face Hilary Curtis after what happened. Charlie tells her she needs to stop running from her problems.

At Crimson Lights, Tessa Porter goes to Mariah Copeland and tries to comfort her, but Mariah snaps and tells her to save it for her girlfriend. Tessa insists there is no else. Mariah brings up seeing her hugging another woman. Tessa says it was someone that helped her track her sister down. Mariah does not understand why she didn’t tell her this news. Tessa says she was only protecting her.
