The Young and the Restless RECAP Tuesday, July 17: Nikki And Victoria Confront Nick, Hilary’s Meeting With Mystery Man

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Tuesday, July 17, 2018 reveals that over at Newman Enterprises, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) worry about Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Victoria And Nikki Get A Shock

Victor appears and let’s them know what Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) has been up to and they both get angry. Nikki wonders how Nick pulled it off pretending to be J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill). Victor says that he is still going to look for J.T.

Over at Sharon McAvoy’s (Sharon Case) place, she lectures Nick Newman for using J.T. Hellstrom as a weapon to seek revenge on his father. Nick then wonders why she is taking things so seriously and she points out how Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) did the same to her pretending to be Cassie Newman.

Nikki Newman and Victoria Newman arrive and they go off on Nick. Victoria tells him he can go to hell. Victoria talks about the terror she has went through thinking J.T. was back. Nick is sorry for causing them stress. Victoria tells him he has harmed the company and their children’s legacy.

Victoria can not accept Nick’s choices. Nikki brings up Victor Newman’s health and Nick reminds her that he tried to make amends with his father, but he through it all away. Nikki leaves. Nick wants Sharon and Victoria to hear him out.

Hilary Screws Up

At the penthouse, Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) tells someone on the phone that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) is out of town and she looks forward to seeing them soon. Shauna Nelson (Camryn Grimes) appears and whines about not being able to see Charlie Ashby (Noah Alexander) when Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) aren’t home.

Hilary agrees with her that Lily is uptight. Hilary exits. Shortly after, Charlie arrives but is shocked when he learns that they are alone. They kiss. They think they are starting to fall in love. They decide their first time will not be tonight, but tomorrow.

Phyllis Freaks On Summer and Billy

At the apartment, Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) tells Summer Newman (Hunter King) about catching Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) gambling. She demands to know why Summer held a poker game at the apartment.

Summer says she was not trying to hurt Billy and then tells how he bailed her out. Billy arrives and says he got Jaboat back and is through with gambling. Phyllis tells him that it is about more than gambling. Then adds how he was deceitful to her.

She rants about the two of them lying to her. Phyllis stomps upstairs angry and comes back down and drops a bag and says she will not live with a man she can not trust. Summer tries to intervene. He grabs his bags and goes.

Mariah And Tessa’s First Date

Over at Crimson Lights, Mariah Copeland is nervous about her first date with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), but wants to stay in the moment. Tessa suggests they leave. Holding hands, Mariah can’t believe it’s actually happening.

Later, Nikki Newman and Victor Newman sit and chat. Nikki tells Victor that Nick Newman has no remorse. Victor says he think he won.

At the Athletic Club, Hilary Curtis thanks a man for meeting with her, and for his discretion. Mariah Copeland appears with Tessa Porter and stops in her tracks. They sit at the bar and Mariah worries what Hilary will think. They decide to say hello.

Hilary Meets With Mystery Man

Hilary introduces the man as Mark, an old friend. Mariah tells her that she and Tessa are on a date which Hilary is not surprised and tells them to have fun. At the Dive Bar, Mariah and Tessa are impressed with Hilary Curtis’s reaction. The hold hands and kiss.

Back in the dining room, Hilary tells Mark that he paints an enticing picture, and she’s tempted, but can not do anything to jeopardize things for her and Devon Hamilton. She wants to keep the meeting between the two of them.

She is nervous that Mariah and Tessa saw them together and says Devon can’t find out the real reason for their meeting. And that’s a wrap. Don’t forget to check often with Soap Opera Spy for all your soap needs.
