The Young and the Restless RECAP Tuesday, August 28: Victoria Spirals, Jack’s Search For Dad Continues

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Tuesday, August 28, 2018 reveals that over at the Athletic Club, Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) talks about feeding her dog steak. She has forgotten that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) moved out of the Abbott mansion, but he assures her he is finding a new place.

Sharon’s Bridesmaids Meeting

At Crimson Lights, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) throws together a bridesmaids meeting with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Victoria zones out and excuses herself.

Abby wonders if J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) has came back, but Nikki assures her he hasn’t. Nikki goes after Victoria. Mariah is surprised by her mom asking Abby to be a bridesmaid, but Abby let’s her know she is only doing it for her brother.

Phyllis And Billy Shock Ashley

Over at the Abbott place, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) are shocked when they see Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) at the door with their bags. They are moving in, but Phyllis promises it’s only temporary.

Ashley thinks they would be better off elsewhere, but Billy reminds them he is John Abbott’s (Jerry Douglas) son and has every right to be there whether they like it or not.

Later, Kyle asks Phyllis what really happened and she fills him in. He’s impressed. Billy comes back as Jack Abbott and Dina Mergeron arrive. Dina becomes distressed about them moving in and hopes they like dogs. She goes upstairs. Jack talks about each day that passes they are getting closer to losing her. Jack leaves. Once alone, Billy and Phyllis chat about her once living there with Jack. She tells him she can handle it.

At Newman Enterprises, Victoria Newman is on edge digging through paperwork. Nikki Newman comes and offers to help, but she tells her to leave her the hell alone. Victoria tells her mom that her therapy sessions sometimes leaves her feeling raw and leaves.

Mariah Chats With Kyle

At the Dive Bar, Mariah Copeland runs into Kyle Abbott. She says she can’t find Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Kyle says she took a last minute holiday. Talk turns to Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks). Kyle tells her his P.I. is on the case. Mariah does not like the uncertainty and Kyle urges her not to give up.

Ashley Abbott meets Abby Newman over at the coffeehouse. Abby fills her in on the bridesmaids meeting and then Ashley fills her in on Billy Abbott and Phyllis Summers moving in. Abby agrees to keep her eyes and ears open around Billy. Ashley leaves to meet Jack Abbott.

Jack Continues Hunt For His Dad

Back over at the Athletic Club, Jack Abbott wants to chat with Ashley Abbott about their mother. Jack feels he needs to connect with his real father. Ashley warns him that he may never learn the truth.

At Jabot, Ashley Abbott and Kyle Abbott talk about Billy Abbott and Phyllis Summers moving in. Kyle tells her about Summer Newman going after Billy. Kyle then tells her about Billy losing Jaboat in a poker game and then used company money to buy it back.

Ashley points out they don’t have proof and is not comfortable dragging Billy back into gambling. Kyle argues she wanted to take extreme measures and they can pull the plug when they get what they need.

Victoria’s Downward Spiral

Over at Victoria Newman’s place, Nikki Newman finds her sleeping. Nikki will not leave until she understands what is going on. Victoria admits that she hasn’t seen her therapist in months.
