The Young and the Restless Recap Tuesday, April 24: Hilary Drops a Bombshell

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Tuesday, April 24, 2018, reveals that over at the ranch Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) arrives to see Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Victor asks him is this about J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) and he replies, “Yes.” Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) offers them coffee and wants to know what she has missed.

Paul Asks Victor To Join Forces

Victor tells Nikki that Paul hasn’t found J.T. yet. Paul assumes Victor has his own people working on the case and asks him if he wants to join forces. Victor is skeptical since Paul is the one that hired J.T. in the first place. Paul says that he was just working on a case that seemed to have merit. Paul asks Victor if he knows where J.T. is and Victor finds that amusing as he asks Paul if he really wants to find J.T. and Paul assures him that he has a job to do and he will get justice.

Victor Shows Paul Evidence JT Abused Victora

Paul has a tablet of victor’s and asks him if he knows why J.T. had it. Victor tells Paul that is why he wants him behind bars. Victor tells Paul and Nikki to watch the video because it is evidence that J.T. abused Victoria. Paul says he is going to have kept the tablet for further evidence and then Paul leaves. Nikki is furious with Victor for invading Victoria’s privacy and handing over the tablet with the recording and Victoria didn’t even know it existed and then Nikki leaves upset.

Reed Wants His Father

At Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) place, she is frustrated to see that Reed Hellstrom (Tristan Lake Leabu) is not on his way to school he feels like there is no point in going. They argue and Victoria snaps at him and says “If your father was here right now…” Reed replies, “But he’s not is he?” And says it is because of her. Reed complains that his text from to his dad has not been answered back and Mackenzie Hellstrom (Kelly Kruger) has not heard from him either. Reed and Victoria continue to argue about her not giving J.T. Hellstrom another chance. Victoria tells Reed what J.T. did to her father was unforgivable. Reed leaves angrily.

Victoria Shocked Victor Spied On Her

Paul Williams arrives and gives Victoria some updates on J.T. and talks about his meeting with Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard). Cane seemed to think J.T. was going home the night he saw him but Victoria says he never showed up. Paul reveals that there was a video of her and J.T. fighting and she is shocked that her dad would spy on her.

Jack Demands Kyle Get Gloria Back

Over at Jabot, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) puts the memory card in his father Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) laptop but is interrupted by Jack who comes in and asks him if he is comfortable. Kyle tells his dad that he is just looking for his good pen the one he gave him. Then says sorry. Kyle tells Jack that he seems distracted and Jack says seeing him in his office reminds him of the damage he has to undo that he caused. Kyle offers to help and Jack tells him that he is going to fix what he has done starting with getting Gloria Bardwell (Judith Chapman) back where she belongs.

Kyle Distracts Jack

Jack continues letting Kyle have it and tells him his grandfather would be rolling over in his grave for what he has done. Kyle promises to get Jack back all his employees. Jack throws Kyle the phone to call Gloria. Over at the Athletic Club, Gloria’s phone rings and she drops her keys in which Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) picks up as she feasts her eyes on him. Arturo asks her if she is going to answer her phone and she replies “sure.” Gloria answers the phone and sees that it is Kyle calling her from Jack’s phone and she asks him why is he calling her. He tells her that he is at Jabot with his dad and wonders if she can come by the office. Gloria wants him to put Jack on the phone. She asks Jack if he was too much of a coward to call her himself and that if he wants her back then he is going to have to beg and then hangs up. Jack then sends Gloria a text telling her to come to the office, please. Jack tells Kyle that until Gloria comes back his place will be at the reception desk. Gloria arrives at Jabot where Kyle will ask Gloria to please come back because she does not know how much he has messed up in the short time he has been at her job. Gloria will bargain with Jack by asking for a new title a bump In pay and two weeks paid vacation Jack will not hesitate and asks if they have a deal when Gloria turns him down. Jack asks why not and Gloria mentions Kyle and he says he is cleaning up his act then she asks about Helen when Jack tells her she is gone she agrees to come back. Kyle will interrupt her and tell her not to sign anywhere until she gets a three-hour dinner with the boss and a minimum of five martinis. Gloria will agree and she and Jack will leave. Kyle tries to upload the memory card and it fails.

Hilary Wants A Meeting

Then at the Hamilton-Winters Group, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), standing with his sister Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) has a chat with his dad Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) and he lets him know that he is overruling him when it comes to Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Hilary Curtis ( Mishael Morgan) working solely at GC Buzz. Neil, Lily, Devon, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) all get a text from Hilary. As Devon is walking out he runs into Hilary telling him she wanted them all to get together so she can share the big news. Devon asks her if she is going to tell everyone she is pregnant and she says they will find out soon enough. He’s not happy and says not like this and not today.

Hilary apologizes for being so impulsive by inviting them to The Top Of The Tower. Neil asks Hilary since she has them all there what is the news. Hilary will come up with something on the fly as she tells them she wanted to do her part to boost morale. Devon pulls her to the side and thanks her. Hilary tells Devon she thought he wanted to get ahead of the story and get it out the right way before someone figured it out. Devon says they are the only two that knows so if anyone found out it would have to come from them.

Hilary and Mariah leave to go prep for the show and on there way out Hilary run into Simone (Shelia Knowles). Hilary baits her into a half-hearted compliment about her outfit where Hilary says she loves this color it is almost as if she was glowing. Neil and Lily will warn Simone about Hilary and her ability to get under your skin.

Hilary Drops a Bombshell

Over at G.C. Buzz, Mariah Copeland asks Hilary Curtis if she is okay. Mariah will tell Hilary she thinks her mood changed about the time she ran into Simone. Mariah wants to know if Hilary wants to talk about it. Hilary tells her she is not allowed to and Mariah notes that has never stopped her before. She lets it go. Later, they go live and Hilary announces her pregnancy.

Arturo Calms Nikki’s Jealousy

Nikki Newman meets with Arturo Rosales over at the athletic club. Nikki will tell him they need to meet at ranch and Arturo will ask her if that would be awkward. Nikki says no Victor already knows that they used to date. Arturo will be shocked by her response as Nikki tells him she saw him with Abby Newman and asks him if he knew Abby was her step-daughter. Arturo will reassure Nikki that he and Abby just met and are friends and hopes they can take their relationship one day at a time.

Back at Hamilton-Winters Group, Devon Hamilton, Lily Ashby, Neil Winters are speechless when Hilary announces that Devon is the father of her baby. That’s a wrap! Don’t forget to check often with Soap Opera Spy for all your soap needs!
