The Young and the Restless RECAP Thursday, September 13: Sharon Hears Tessa Is In Big Trouble

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Thursday, September 13, 2018 reveals that over at Walworth prison, Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) looks at herself in the mirror and then sits on her cot.

Rey and Nick Agree About JT

At the police station, Brittany Hodges (Lauren Woodland) has left after securing Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) immunity. Nick talks with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and tells him he hasn’t seen J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) since he was at his sister’s house. Rey wants to buy Nick a beer for standing up against his father and wishes he would have done the same years ago. They both agree J.T. needs to pay for what he has done.

The Ashby’s Get Ready To Visit Lily

At the Ashby’s, Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) hollers at the twins and says it is time to go. Mattie Ashby (Lexie Stevenson) is wearing a shirt protesting the injustice of her mom being locked up. Cane warns her that could make things worse for Lily Ashby. Mattie tells Cane Charlie Ashby (Noah Alexander) is not there.

At the Dive Bar, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) points out Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) looks like he has seen a ghost. Victor asks her for more details on Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) trying to find his father and she wonders why he cares. Victor says Jack should let bygones be bygones. Victor was reminded of his father.

Nikki Realizes Jack and Victor Could Be Brothers

Then explains the picture Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) had put up on GC Buzz was his father Albert Miller. Nikki realizes it could mean that Victor and Jack are half-brothers if it is really Jack’s father. Nikki asks how he wants to handle it. In the dining room of the Athletic Club, Charlie Ashby urges Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) to go visit his mother today. Devon will not go. Later, Victor and Nikki chat at the bar and he wants to keep the truth from Jack.

Charlie Ashby shows up at home and tells Cane Ashby he was at school turning something in. Mattie Ashby tells him she is not buying it and calls him out for skipping classes after Cane goes to the car.

Kyle Tells Summer He Cares For Her

At the patio of Crimson Lights, Summer Newman (Hunter King) calls Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) out for avoiding her. He admits that she means more to him than a one-night fling. Summer had no clue. Inside, Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) let’s Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) know that the police aren’t pressing charges on Nick Newman. They agree they can’t trust Rey Rosales.

Sharon Cautions Mariah To Be Careful

Talk turns to Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Mariah tells Sharon that Tessa told her she loved her. Sharon wants her to be careful. Nick arrives. Sharon promises him a re-do party with just the two of them. Sharon spots Rey. They bicker. He Hope’s they can start over. Later, Tessa runs into Kyle and Summer on the patio and teases them about their flirt fighting. After Tessa is gone Summer admits to Kyle she loves him then says like a brother. Kyle thinks they would be better off away from each other from now on.

At Walworth, Lily Ashby asks the kids about school. Then they talk about her getting an early release. Charlie Ashby is worried about Lily, but she assures them she is fine. Devon Hamilton appears. Cane Ashby and the twins give them privacy. Devon tells Lily he knows it is hell in there and can see it in her eyes.

Lily wants to make amends by starting a charity in Hilary Curtis’ (Mishael Morgan) name for kids dealing with alcoholism in their families. Devon assures Lily that she is a good person and it was a tragic accident. He takes back all that he said to her after the crash. Lily asks if he forgives her and he says there is nothing to forgive. He let’s her know he loves her. Lily cries in his arms. Cane and the twins rejoin them.

At the police station, Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) calls Rey Rosales into his office and is mad that Nick Newman was given full immunity by Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell). Rey assures Paul he knows what he is doing.

At Sharon McAvoy’s place, Nick Newman tells Sharon the police are more determined than ever to find out what happened to J.T. Hellstrom. Sharon gets a call from Tessa Porter and on the other end she hears a scuffle and screaming.
