“The
Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Thursday, October 4, 2018 reveals that over at the church, Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) tells Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) that witch Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) stood Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) up.
Wedding Guests Grow Anxious
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) wonders to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) why Sharon hasn’t showed. Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) try to keep Nick calm and reassures him. Nick and Phyllis corner Summer Newman (Bayley Corman) to make sure she or Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) did not spill the beans.
Noah Newman Returns
Noah Newman (Robert Adamson) appears. Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) greets him with a hug. Jack flew Noah in for the wedding. Mariah worries about telling Noah that she and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) are dating. Jack stalls the minister. Over in a pew, Nick admits to Faith he doesn’t know what is going on.
Over by the church door, Jack Abbott tells Victor Newman he better not be the cause of this. Noah Newman hugs Mariah Copeland and Summer Newman comes up and let’s the cat out of the bag about her and Tessa Porter. Noah walks away. Billy Abbott pulls Phyllis Summers aside wanting an answer to his question. Phyllis says he caught her off guard and needs some time to think. Nick Newman is about to call off the wedding when Mariah gets a text and hollers wait. Everyone takes their place.
Sharon Finally Shows Up
The music starts as Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), Summer Newman, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), and Mariah Copeland make their way up the aisle. Faith Newman and Christian Newman are next. Sharon McAvoy appears. She joins Nick Newman at the altar. She apologizes for the delay. The minister begins. Nick says his vows. Phyllis Summers whispers over to Billy Abbott and says, “Yes, I’ll marry you.”
Nick finishes up and Sharon goes next. She starts by letting him know he is her best friend, partner, lover, and father of her children. Sharon brings up how Nick said she was his one true love and how they would always be honest with one another…except he wasn’t honest with her.
Sharon Dumps Nick At The Altar
Sharon wasn’t going to come, but wanted to see the look on his face when she told him she couldn’t marry him. He can’t love and cherish her when he is cheating on her with Phyllis.
