The Young and the Restless RECAP Thursday, May 31: Victoria On A Power Trip, Blasts Abby For Her Trip

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Thursday, May 31, 2018, reveals that over at Crimson Lights, Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) chats with her bestie Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan).

Hilary Announces Her Pregnancy

Hilary fills her in on her good news about being pregnant and Phyllis is shocked she hasn’t told Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) yet. Across the way, Charlie Ashby (Noah Alexander) and Shauna (Camryn Hamm) talk about how to hide her. She tells him her family moved away to support her brother and left her with her aunt. Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) comes by and wishes them a good day at school. Shauna says she can not go to school. Charlie has an idea.

Nick Tells Sharon About New Job Offer

Over at Sharon McAvoy’s (Sharon Case) place, Sharon can tell something is bothering Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Nick tells her he was offered a job in San Diego running a foundation and wants them to move. She wants to know what Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has done now. Nick fills her in on what all went down and lets her know that he threatened to take Christian from him. Sharon does not want him making any rash decisions out of fear.

Abby and Arturo Talk About Their Trip

At Chancellor Park, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) chat about their trip. Abby is ready to handle the questions that she will receive at the office.

Neil Compliments Hilary’s Improvement

At Hamilton-Winters, Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) compliments Hilary Curtis for really stepping up for the team at the barbecue. Devon Hamilton reveals there is a little more than respect going on between them but does not want to elaborate when Neil wants more details. He says it is complicated. Downstairs in the club, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) reveals to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) that he moved out from the Abbott mansion. Then fills her in on his plans to start a new company. Nikki wishes him luck.

Neil Interrupts Hilary

Back upstairs, Hilary is interrupted by Neil when she is about to talk to Devon. Neil announces he is about to add the crown jewel to the HWG dynasty. Jack tries to sell Neil and Devon on what they could accomplish as a team and they are willing to consider it.

Hilary Loses Chance with Devon

Once Jack is gone, Devon and Neil agree it’s not a good fit. Hilary tries once again to talk to Devon with no luck. Later on, Hilary comes across another chance but is interrupted by Shauna and Charlie this time. Hilary tells them she will make time for them later. So Shauna and Charlie leave, but so does Devon.

Hilary Asks Lily a Favor

Phyllis Summers comes by and suggests that Hilary use the fact that Lily Ashby already thinks she is pregnant to get what she wants. Hilary asks Lily for a favor. Back downstairs at the bar, Neil turns Jack down on his business proposal. Then, Sharon McAvoy joins Jack and they have a chat about fresh starts. Sharon lets Jack know he is a good friend.

Abby and Victoria Fight

Abby Newman arrives at Newman Enterprises. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) makes a snarky remark to Abby and tells her to run her plans by her in the future. Abby defends herself and tells Victoria she is petty. They bicker back and forth. Then when it’s over she texts Arturo asking him if he wants to go back to Miami. At Crimson Lights, Charlie Ashby comforts Shauna and tells her everything will work out.

Nick tells Victoria Their Father Should Leave

At Chancellor Park, Nick Newman talks to his sister about their father and tells her he can not stay. Victoria doesn’t want him leaving. Nick says it’s not a done deal yet he still has to convince Sharon McAvoy.

Hilary Reveals Pregnancy to Devon

Over at Devon Hamilton’s penthouse, Hilary surprises him with framed photos of both of them when they were babies. She tells him to turn away and when he turns back around she has her pregnancy news shown by the photos. Devon is thrilled and she confirms she is expecting.

Nick Tell Sharon Leaving is Right

Back at Sharon McAvoy’s place, Nick Newman tells Sharon that he doesn’t want to lose her but feels like leaving would be the right move.

Arturo and Abby Caught Making Out

Up at the Dive Bar, Arturo Rosales and Abby Newman pretend their back in Miami. They start making out and Nikki Newman arrives and sees them. And that’s a wrap. Don’t forget to check often with Soap Opera Spy for all your soap needs!
