The Young and the Restless RECAP Thursday, May 17: Nikki Demands Arturo Stay Clear Of Abby, He Refuses

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Thursday, May 17, 2018 reveals that over at the Abbott cabin, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) almost kiss and they pump the brakes afraid Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will come through the door any minute. Abby looks at her phone and says Jack hasn’t returned any of her texts. She don’t think Jack would have went on his way without securing the cabin and refuses to leave. Arturo says he will stay and keep her company. Arturo suggest they play a board game for a distraction. Abby notices the liquor cabinet and talks about Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) drinking a lot lately and looks to see if it’s gone. She finds scotch in the cabinet and she is happy it’s there. Abby calls Arturo out and accuses him of checking her out and he admits to knowing she is the naked heiress. Talk turns to her being locked in the storage locker by her crazy ex. They see an opening from the storm and decide to head back to Genoa City and Abby says she wants to drive. Arturo does not let her but says she can choose the music.

At Newman Enterprises, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) tells Paul Davidson (Doug Davidson) she does not want to hide anything anymore and denies her rights to an attorney. She just wants to be honest and it be off the record. Victoria tells Paul she did see J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) that night and spoke to him. She says he told her that he didn’t mean to hurt her father and that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) fell. Then she says he asked her to run away with him before Victor recovered and she turned him down and he left. She claims he asked her for help and she helped him disappear. She also says that she loved him and couldn’t help how she felt and she couldn’t report him. Victoria says no one else seen J.T. but only heard the door bell and told them it was Abby Newman to keep them out of it. She apologizes to Paul for not telling him the truth and he says they are done for now. Paul leaves.

Jack Abbott comes stumbling back in at the cabin a little banged up from the wreck. He looks at his phone and calls Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) but as she starts talking he hangs up on her. She tries to call him back but he will not answer. Jack looks at pictures of the family. Jack makes a call to Kieran who was his dealer and wants to get something for his pain as soon as possible.

Over at Hamilton-Winters Group, a lady comes in looking for Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) tells her he is not there yet and Devon walks in. They go downstairs for breakfast to discuss business. Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) walks in and Hilary questions her on who it is that Devon is having breakfast with but Tessa doesn’t know.

Over at the Abbott’s place, Arturo Rosales arrives bringing Abby Newman coffee as she is just waking up. She informs him she has still not heard from her uncle. She thanks him for the coffee and says it still does not make up for him not letting her drive his truck. She says she will wear him down. Nikki arrives worried about Jack and sees Arturo there with Abby. Nikki tells Abby about the phone call and says she will fill the rest of the family in. Nikki questions why Arturo is there and Abby fills her in on their search for Jack. Nikki tells Arturo she hopes he didn’t take advantage of Abby in her difficult time. Nikki and Arturo both leave and Nikki tells him they have to talk. She tells Arturo she told him Abby was off limits. Arturo says they are no longer together and he can date who he wants.

At the Athletic club, Devon is having breakfast with his colleague and Victoria Newman walks by and says hello. She goes on and runs into Paul Williams over by the bar. He says since they were both there he thought they could continue their conversation from last night. Paul wants to know if J.T. Hellstrom told her where he was going and if she has heard from him. She tells him no. Victoria wants to know what happens next. Paul says he has to wait on a call from district attorney and says Christine (Lauralee Bell) should be calling him shortly. Paul says they are not gonna press matters right now.

Devon walks back in at Hamilton Winters and Hilary accuses him of being on a date. Devon tells her it was a colleague that is working on something for him. Devon leaves. The lady returns because she forgot to give Devon something and leaves a folder with Tessa. Tessa and Hilary snoop and it appears to be plans for a nursery. And that’s a wrap.
