The Young and the Restless RECAP Thursday, June 28: Billy Ditches Phyllis For Summer, Victor’s Disaster

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Thursday, June 28, 2018, reveals that over at Hamilton-Winters Group, Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) chats with her father and thanks him for his help.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) arrives and Lily excuses herself. Victor tells Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) he has been doing damage control and wants Neil to make an announcement on tv.

Billy and Cane Bicker

Over at Jabot, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) wants to go over work with Summer Newman (Hunter King) but she has other plans. In Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) office Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) wants Billy to call Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and talk to her about Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) plans. Billy thinks Cane is only looking out for himself and they bicker back and forth.

Phyllis Reassures Victoria That J.T. is Dead

At Summer Newman’s apartment, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) goes to see Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) and fills her in on eyewitnesses seeing J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill). Phyllis reminds her he is taking a dirt nap.

Victoria wonders who is using the credit cards and Phyllis reassures her J.T. is dead. Victoria gets word that her father is planning to go live on tv. Summer Newman arrives.

Victoria leaves. Summer gets dressed for a party she is attending. Later, Billy Abbott arrives to find a candlelit pathway leading to Phyllis in lingerie on the terrace. Billy worries about being seen then tells her let’s give them a show.

Hilary Interviews Victor

At the Dive Bar, Neil Winters let’s Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) know they are scrapping what he originally had planned and says he has a special guest-Victor Newman. Hilary resists his orders and he says he will put Mariah on solo.

Later, Victor and Victoria Newman arrive with a bodyguard named Dwayne (Drew Pearson). Victoria points out the lack of security to Mariah. In the dining room, Summer Newman thinks Kyle Abbott is there to see her but he actually has a date.

She goes upstairs and joins a poker game. Up at Hamilton-Winters, Cane Ashby tells Lily Ashby that Jack Abbott does not have a leg to stand on.

He wants to go have a drink but Lily has another idea. Back up at the Dive Bar, Hilary interviews Victor. Victor tells the viewers about his attack from J.T. Hellstrom. He adds that he is back running the company 100%. Suddenly, he drops a glass of water so they go to break.

Billy Ditches Phyllis for Summer Emergency

Back over at the apartment, Billy Abbott and Phyllis Summers chat about neighbors. He goes inside to get them some more drinks and discovers he has missed several calls and texts from Summer Newman who needs his help. Billy tells Phyllis there is an emergency at work.

Cane Ashby and Lily Ashby sip wine outside of their house and enjoy the stars. Lily reminds Cane that she and he are stronger together. Mattie Ashby (Lexie Stevenson) walks up and shakes her head as they kiss again.

Summer Admits Blowing Entire Trust Fund

At the Athletic Club, Billy Abbott chats with Summer Newman outside of the suite. She tells him she lost her money and needs help winning it back. He asks how much and she says 10 grand. Billy joins the game and recoups the loss. Summer is thankful to him.

He tells her to never ask this of him again. He then realizes she didn’t need cash to settle up and demands to know what is going on. She tells him she blew her entire trust fund and is in debt.

Victor Struggles With His Interview

At the Dive Bar, Victor Newman’s interview resumes. He confidently talks about his return to work then starts to lose his train of thought. Then starts going off about J.T. Hellstrom and vows to get him.

Once calmer he struggles to answer some questions about future plans for the company. Neil Winters wants to stop the interview but Victor insists he is fine. And that’s a wrap. Don’t forget to check often with Soap Opera Spy for all your soap needs.
