The Young and the Restless Recap Monday, September 10: The Candidates For Jack’s Dad Keep Piling Up

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Monday, September 10, 2018 reveals that over at the Athletic club, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) looks over her invitation to the Dark Horse launch. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) walks up and let’s her no there’s a no mustache policy. They both agree there could be trouble if he comes. Jack leaves and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) appears. He talks about how Dark Horse is doomed to fail.

At the hotel in Vegas, Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) wants to return home, but Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) points out why they should stay just a little longer. They make love. Billy let’s Phyllis know he can control his gambling.

Over at Crimson Lights, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) asks Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) for an advancement on her pay. Sharon is shocked and refuses. Rey Rosales (Jordi Villasuso) appears. Tessa goes to serve Charlie Ashby (Noah Alexander) and understands why he is cutting glass and agrees to keep it to herself. Then she goes to serve Rey and they chat and she tells him about Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) launch party. Rey leaves and Sharon snaps at Tessa for telling Rey too much.

She cautions her about him being a debt collector and investigating J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill). Sharon decides to go ahead and give Tessa an advance in exchange for her loyalty and discretion. Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) arrives and Tessa fills her in on getting the advance. Out on the patio, Mariah and Sharon chat and Sharon wonders if Tessa’s story is true.

At the penthouse, Shauna Nelson (Camryn Hamm) sees Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) off as she gets ready to go to school. After he is gone Charlie Abshy arrives wanting to talk. Devon doubles back because he forgot something and is upset to catch them alone at his place.

Shauna explains that Charlie is not doing well. Shauna heads to school and Devon and Charlie chat. Charlie blames himself for what is going on with his mother and Devon hugs him and says they can play the blame game all day. Charlie tells Devon he will go to school if he goes and visits Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil).

At the Abbott mansion, Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) complains to Jack Abbott about Phyllis being away. Talk turns to Jack’s paternity. Lauren points out that her father is in the photo with Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams). Lauren wants to make sure she and Jack are not siblings. They figure out the blood types don’t add up. Then go over the other men in the photo, but there is one they don’t know. Jack wants to find out who he is.

Back at the Athletic Club, Victor Newman spots Rey Rosales and calls him over to learn more about him. Talk turns to Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) and Rey reveals how he helped his mom raise him. Then Rey brings up Nick Newman’s launch party and Nikki Newman pretends she didn’t know about it. After Rey is gone, Victor points out he trusts him more than he does Arturo with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway). Out in the entrance, Rey phones someone and says he is making his move tomorrow night.

Back in Vegas, after taking to Lauren Fenmore Baldwin, Phyllis Summers tells Billy Abbott she must return home. They have sex again. Billy gets a text and learns they want him back next weekend for another tournament. Phyllis looks worried. And that’s a wrap.
